As opposed to the first blockbuster hit SPEED, the sequal takes the powerful thriller to the next level, into the open ocean. The storyline is great for people who can be a bit like hopless romantics, who want to be with someone they really like and hardly know. The rest of the movie is pure action filled with dry humor and some whitty lines, not excluding the scene that made film history by running a cruise liner into the middle of a Jamacian tourist town.

It was a brillant sequel to the famous action-thriller. Sandra Bullock was worth the time spent alone and Jason Patrick was terrific, also. Willam Dafoe lacked some of the enthusiasm for a screen supervillian, I thought. The ending was hilarious!
