As a grade B Horror movie, it was better than some, worse than others. The story is about a part alien/part human 'firestarter' which is not very original. The movie lacked the tension and suspense that is famous in better B Horror movies. The film itself seemed hollow, incomplete as if it were a draft of a screen play. The acting was amateurish, but then the script didn't give the actors a gripping story to tell. Mark Paul Gosselaar has since become a credible actor and each actor will have his or her share of 'dog scripts' that seem to be part of the rite of passage. If you are a Mark Paul fan, then you'll get a chance to see him perform although I'm sure this is something that he is glad to leave behind him.
I bought the DVD because I'm a Sci-FI fan and the synopsis seemed interesting. I'm hesitant to apply any kind of rating but will say that it is like watching a Film School Class project that went awry.
