More genius from David Mamet!

I love Steve Martin in more serious roles. Even though he is hilarious in a lot of his pictures, movies like the Spanish Prisoner make you realize what a good actor he really is. It doesn't hurt that the supporting cast in this film, although lesser known, are equally good.
Mamet's legendary use of language and the idea of the enigma shine in this clever stor about a man who has invented a secret formula. Everyone is out to get it, so an intense pursuit begins. The twist ending is one you probably won't see coming. Although Rebecca Pidgeon is an interesting character in the story, her annoying banter can sometimes drive you nuts. She brings as much to the film as she detracts from it. Just keep in mind that this is no ordinary film, and you'll enjoy it immensely.
