The Spanish Apartment (DVD, 2003)

The item arrived in good shape and in a timely manner. Since it was purchased as a gift it is important to me that it arrived in as short a time as possible.

The Spanish Apartment (L'auberge espagnole) is a story young man going to Graduate school in Spain. He meets several people within the film who either inspire him or piss him off. He rooms with about seven other people from all over Europe. I think the best part of the film takes place in their apartment, because all the frustrations when rooming together are shown and present a comical performance. The diversity of languages and races is amazing, because the chemistry these actors have together is full of life. I highly recommend this film for anyone, weather your interest is foreign films or simply just movies. This has everything a movie can have, and is my favorite foreign film. Get together and watch it with your friends it makes it more halarious.

This is a great foreign film. I saw this movie when it was first released in a french class that I was taking. It really embodies the true euro-young adult life. Don't forget to check out the sequel "les poupees russes" the russian dolls.

I was looking for a good price on a DVD of my favorite movie. The buyer promptly shipped it, pleasure to deal with!

I needed a copy of this DVD for the film class that I teach, and I needed a copy that was in the best condition, and that I could afford. This was the best way to get a copy for myself and not have to depend on the school media center for it! My students love this movie, as it shows how immigration problems are universal, and not only for the immigrants but for all governments too.

I loved how humorous and adult it was. I really related to it greatly, and the plot structure was constructed in a understandable way.

Currently I am a second year college student studying International Studies. I also have a great intrest in the French language and culture! What better way to hear and learn and see it all! Overall this is a great movie that can amuse a broad audiance of people of all ages. I have studies classic French films such as Pepe le Moko, A bout de Souffle, La Femme Nikita and over the years the French film industry has come a long way. Each film was enjoyable in its own way. I highly recomend this film for anyone intrested in culture and language.

The "poor" rating is not for the film, but for the fact that the seller never sent me the dvd. He also did the same on another dvd that I ordered at the same time and about 20 or so sold to other ebay buyers. Tried resolution through paypal, but seller had apparently cleared all monies from his account an there was no "recourse". Lovely, eh?

i love the different languages, and i like cecile de france and am excited to see the sequel. i just heard the she was in it and decidd to buy it. thanks alot for the movie
