My all-time favorite Mel Brooks film

Being both a Star Wars and Star Trek fan, I still find this movie hilarious. Some of the humor, such as the "Druish" (Jewish) princess jokes, might not be politically-correct anymore ("Jewish princess" used to be a term for a spoiled rich girl) but Brooks himself is Jewish, and the jokes are all in fun. In fact, there are a lot of Jewish in-jokes, such as giving the Princess back her old nose (hooked, of course), the doctor practicing his "putts" (think Yiddish...) and Yogurt's "merchandising" scene. (That's Brooks playing Yogurt, by the way. He is also Prsident Scroob, which is ALMOST "Brooks" spelled backwards.) Puns abound -- can of Perri-Air, "jamming" the radar... Then there's the power of the "Schwartz" in the magic ring... but ot te more would be a spoiler. I watch this when I need a good dose of silliness with a strong Yiddish flavor :)
