Space Quest Collection (PC Games, 2006)

Same games as was originally released, just all stored together on one disk. Nice to replay some of the games from the past. All positive by me, that is why I purchased.

My dad used to play these games when i was young and now that im in college i can see why. The game tests your brain with a problem solving gameplay and makes you laugh along the way. More games today should be made like the Space Quest Series.

I enjoyed all the Space Quest antics of Roger Wilco as a child. I was so excited to get the Space Quest Collection of all the titles that works on my XP PC. The games are just as I remembered. Difficult enough to make you want to keep trying. Graphics just with just enough quality. The best part of all is the comedic comentary with the later titles. All in all, one of my favorite titles and a true classic.

I have no problems whatsoever with this game. Works fine under XP! I'm so glad to be playing old classics like this!

This is possibly one of the top 3 PC computer games of all times. Sierra was on the forefront of PC games, and the Space Quest was part of all the "Quest" series (Space Quest, Police Quest, King's Quest, Hero's Quest) that changed the face of computer games forever. You control the character on the screen, using the mouse to walk the character across the screen, pick items up, and make your way through situations. No first person shooter garbage. This game requires brains to solve puzzles and getting yourself out of predicaments using items you find along the way. Space Quest uses humor, parody and satire to hilariously make your way through the adventures of Roger Wilco, space janitor. This game series is highly recommended for hours of fun. The only bad thing is that Space Quest 7 was canceled and never made.

Incredibly poor graphics and idiotic story line. Don't waste your time on this space junk. Poorly described in the offering. If I had known what it was, never would have bought it.

Works ok with Vista. Some random game crashes but still playable. Some of the games had really slow character movement but I think it's possible to fix that with some DosBox tweeks. One major problem is that most of the games have some type of riddle that must be solved using the game manual that originally came with the games. However, after some googling I found a site that posts all of the original game documentation.

This is a revision of the one of the original computer classic games that most of us born before 1970 enjoyed when these wonderful machines were in their infancy.

This game will run on Windows XP; although, it runs in the CMD mode. We used to call that the DOS mode; but, DOS was eliminated with Windows XP. The graphics are not as fancy as could be generated in true Windows mode; but, remember, this game was written when Windows was a gleam in Bill Gates eye! The game has 5 parts, each a separate adventure. It translates into many hours of fun; without, all the blood and gore that seems to permeate games of today. No badmouthing the police and glorifying the bad guys in this game. I'd even buy it for my kids, if I had any kids under 25 years old!

A number of these old games are being revitalized to run on the new systems. This is a good thing. This one, Battle Chess, and several others will provide hours of WHOLESOME fun, instead of teaching your kids how to rob, rape, pillage and burn in defiance of the law!

I'm still in the middle of Space Quest III, and yet I love it already! If they ever make a remade collection of the Quest for Glory games, I'd buy that! Sierra games are some of the games I grew up on!

I use the following system:
Exceptional - Nothing can be improved about this aspect.
Good - Exceeds standards yet has some room for improvement.
Average - Meets the standards of the time, yet fails to impress.
Poor - Below-standards, suffers from terrible quality.

I bought this medley of games for $15 (including shipping) which is $6 less then at the store. I don't think there is any other pc game out there that would keep me laughing and have me confused at the same time.

GAMEPLAY: Nothing out there is better. The puzzles are fun to figure out, the variety of aliens and what you can say and do to them are hilarious. I wish they would make a Space Quest 7. A fan like me can only pray. EXCELLENT
GRAPHICS: For the time they we're...ok I suppose. GOOD
REPLAYABILITY: Well there are six different fun games. So many different hilarious ways to die. EXCELLENT
SOUND: Nothing to be crazy about. But then again a lot of there sound effects and music were made for the 1992 PC. GOOD

If you can buy this game DO IT!!! You won't ever regret it!
