Just like it's predecessor Dragon's Lair, Space Ace is here in HD glory. Unlike the CD or DVD versions, the Blu-Ray version (on the PS3) has little or no lag. The picture quality is as good if not better than the original Laser Disc. It's lot's of fun and brings back those Arcade memories.
All you need to do is go into the options menu and run the option that shows you the different versions of the game that have come out and you will see what a huge difference the blu-ray has even over the original laser disc. Its just unbelievable! I have a couple very minor gripes, moves being changed from the original, and some moves that you get stuck on even though you know the timing is right. Other than that, I wanna give props to Digital Leisure, because if it wasn't for them, we wouldn't have this game and Dragon's Lair, or Dragon's Lair II - Time Warp, on blu-ray. They would've just become some forgotten cartoon games from the 80's, except for those who lived it. I also want to give props to Don Bluth, who in my opinion has some of the most badass animation style I have ever seen. The animation in his games, and movies, rival most modern animation to this day. So get a few pints in ya, pop in the disc and enjoy a blast to the past, on what is the most coolest release of this rad game by far.
Great Picture and sound. With the Blu-Ray DVD transfer its great watching it in HD. I the plot and acting are solid, but I really think having seen the regular dvd vs. the Blu-Ray there is no comparison. If you like the story you will love the Blu Ray version
