Soylent Green (DVD, 2008)

fast and quailty service. looking for old movies with quailty merchandise and found this with this seller. I hope to do more business with the same antisipated attention as I got this time.

I paid for this tiem in September, the vender reported that is was on back order. I told to ship when available. Almost two months have pased, I filed a claim with Pay Pal, Pay Pal advised that the issue was closed one day later, no expalaination, just closed. This was out and out fraud. I am angery and upset with both the vneder and Pay Pal. I buy a reasonable anount of items trough Ebay, I have been de-frauded twice. Once was a long time ago when I should have filed a clain I waited time elapsed, this time I filed a claim and was not even given an explaiantion to the status of how and why! It was just resloved, no credit, no DVD.

I saw this movie when I got out of high school when it first came out and I loved it. I have not seen the movie since and it was like seeing it again for the first time and it was as good as I remembered. It is one of my favorite movies in my collection.

Pessimistic sci-fi about, how the future of civilization will look like in the near future. It is a good screenplay, interesting how we imagined the near future a half a century ago without the electronic revolution and other modern "amenities"!

when i watched this movie, it was shown as a late night movie when i was a teenager and am glad i got the opportunity to get it for today i am age 56.

Little action. Good actor but no outline of cause and affect. Lots of luck. --------------------------------------------------------

Never got it. On 6/3/9 they said they were backorder, and would sent the DVD withing a week. I am still waiting.

This is a great cult movie, and I'm glad to see it has been reconfigured for DVD players. I've bought several copies to give to younger friends who missed its first go-round. A real classic, this movie gives a positive view of choosing one's own exit from this life, and it also shows what over population and lack of concern for the environment and quality of life can cause.

This film looks it's age with its dated styles and props, but remains one of the most relevant pieces of science fiction ever. Most images of the future become obsolete within a generation as new technologies and geopolitics affect our expectations of the future. Soylent Green still presents a highly probable bleek future for humanity. The original time table has been proven wrong, but all you have to do is add a century to it's prediction and it could happen. This movie will remain a threat to our future until it is fulfilled, or modern civilization comes to an end.

Everyone should see this movie, and take its warning to heart. Heston does a perfect job in this futuristic portrayal. People have ruined all natural resources, this movie shows what they are forced to now do.
