From the editors of Southern Living comes another great cooking book. This one has 400 hand picked, tried and true recipes that go from Chesapeake Bay to the bayous, from the Low Country to the heart of Dixie. These recipes are classic because they not only took the best of their recipes, but the absolute best recipes from 4,000 community cookbooks. Recipes range from Pan-Fried Crab Cakes, Ham & Bean Soup, Old Bay Shrimp Salad, Ham & Greens Potpie with Cornbread Crust, Black-bottom Pecan Cheesecake Pie and Mint Julep Martini. There are about 100 photos in the book. Perfect!

The variety of recipes is very good, the photos are very appealing. I just moved to the south and thought this would be a good intro to southern cooking and it is. It is cooking with style

I just purchased three new Souther Living Homestyle cookbooks....I can't tell you the difference in price from the suggested publishers price, so I bought two as gifts and one for myself! The books came in great condition and I was very pleased with my purchase.

) This is a wonderful cookbook for the home chef to add to their collection. I enjoyed the arrangement of the cookbook into sections such as: Southern Heritage Treasures, Weeknight Family Meals, and Breads, Breakfasts, and Brunches.
There is something in this book for every taste, no matter how discriminating. The Carrot-Zucchini Muffins are tasty (I added more spices) and would be a great way to encourage the kids to eat more vegetables!

With all these microwave foods and fast foods, I decided to go to basic. I love this book it provides home style cooking. There are times when you just need a comfort food and this book has it all from soup to dessert. Great recipes and great photos so that you can see the outcome of your work. I highly recommend it.

Another beautiful Southern Living cookbook. Chapters are organized by regional dishes, international dishes, healthy homestyle, quick and easy homestyle, weeknight family and casual entertaining menu suggestions. Doesn't seem to have as many pictures as past cookbooks but still has some really tempting photos that make me want to dive in and start trying out the recipes. (You guessed it; I haven't tried any yet but, hey, we're talking Southern Living here. How can you fail?)

I bought this book from this seller because of the price and availablity. I had seen it advertised for approximately $35.00. This is a wonderful book that exceeded my expection! Also,I received the book very quickly enabling me to cook the "Hummingbird Cake" as shown on the front of the book.
