Basic, down to earth explanations. Excellent for Type 2 Diabetics who need to change their eating patterns. Not so restrictive that they will 'slip' a lot. Recipes are a good starting point for ideas. Weight loss is not dramatic- about 5-7 pounds a week - but the diet is stisfying and there is not a lot of incentive to cheat.
