The paper back version is pretty good, it is portable and you can therefore take it anywhere you go. It is not the book or recipes but it is a good introduction to how foods work with or against the body. ALthough, there are many diet books sold today, this one seems to be written by a Cardiologist. The phase 1 is probably the hardest probably since it is the time when you have to give up many of your favorite foods like fruit juice, caffeinated coffee, alcohol, sugary drinks and candy ,many fruits. You start out mostly eating fish,Chicken, beef, eggs, nuts, vegatable juice, water, other vegetables. Phase II you can start to introduce a few more foods but you are still off of honey and sugar, you can use Splenda if you want to make things a little sweeter. Phase III you can start eating things like Kraft Cereals, pizza, granola bars, frozen breakfast burritos. The idea is that you should always feel full, that you should not feel starving or your body will be acting against you. You might lose weight quickly who knows. They never mention anything about exercise however.
