Sound Reinforcement Handbook by Gary Davis, Ralph Jones (1988, Paperback, Revised)

The book is good from the beginning to the end. It's not too simplistic, but it's not over the top "techy" either. Nice and simple illustrations, clear and direct.

I bought this book for class.

This is probably the best sound engineering book ever made. It is a must even if you are Rick Rubin himself, it teaches you situations, mixers, rules, thinking, engineering, microphones.. it has everything. It is a bible. Nothing more, nothing less.

One of few books on the subject matter. Nicely written. I bit too much math for some, not enough detailed math for others. To correctly cover the subject matter it could have gone a lttle bit heavier on the math. I little bit dated for some of the latest wireless technology. With its flaws, it is still a great book for someone in need of an intoduction to sound reenforcement.

The book came very quickly,and the title of the book pretty much speaks for itself.It's a text book about how to mix audio.

Great book for pros, a bit advanced in terms of language and some concepts for beginners but overall a must have for any audio production students.
