SOUL CALIBUR 3 - PS2 - New and different moves

It's a good game, but it will take time to get use to it. A lot of the characthers moves were changed from previous Soul Caliburs. The tale of the swords is a little different and it's strategy base; these gives the game a different twist; you'll understand once you play. The moves are faster, the new characthers are diferent but very powerful once you learn to use them, specially Zasalamel. I recommend playing it with a bunch of your friends but remember it will take probably a little more than a week to get use to it, maybe more in some cases. There is a lot more missions to complete and it will take a while before you get enough money to buy all the things that the game offer. The "create your character" mode is a good addition but it doesn't really stands out to me. The regular characters can all be changed into diferent colors, and there are different costumes from previous Soul Caliburs; and very cool new one (Raphael's Cape). Well play it with a bunch of people because playing by yourself gets repetitive and boring; but then again any figthing game played by yourself will have the same effect on you.

      Fighting game with a soul

Soul Calibur, one of the best fighting games, returns!

Many people I've knowwn and talked to, even if they do not like fighting games in general, they still like Soul Calibur. Soul calibur has always had something special to it. Story is rich and intriguing, characters and weapons are very interesting. Soul Calibur 3 returns with most of the old characters we knew, and some new ones.

You can get to know the history of the characters better by going through the "Tales of souls" single player mode, which will let you choose paths and determine where you go to and who you fight.

The Versus mode allows you to challenge your friend for some fun competition. This is a good game to play hanging out with your friends. And the combat system is excellent- Lots of combos and strategy involved, can't really be a good player just by button mashing.

The "Chonicle of Souls" mode is a combination of RTS and Soul Calibur fights. I found that mode a bit boring, but you basically have to play it to unlock some of the unlockables.

One of the best features of this game is the character creation mode. Finally you can make your own character for Soul Calibur! And the costume options are vast! (Albeit, it takes time to unlock them).

This is a game I would recommend to everyone, Old and New Soul Calibur fans, and even those who have not heard of Soul Calibur yet want to try a really good fighting game.
