THIS MOVIE IS AN ALL TIME FAVORITE OF MINE, A CLASSIC. I HAVE IT ON VHS AND WANTED THE DVD VERSION. THERE IS NOTHING THAT I DISLIKE ABOUT THIS MOVIE.

Thank you for voting. If your vote meets our I love Soul Food!I really like this movie. My original copy came up missing several years ago and I have searched all over at retail stores trying to replace it. There are just movies that you want to see over and over and this is the one I wanted to see. It reminds me of family, Sunday dinner at Grandma's, and the way that families should all pull together in the end. I am happy to have the DVD in my home again. This is just one of those classic, timeless movies!

This is where you find food your soul. They say the little child shall lead them. In this film Ahmad, played by Brandon Hammond, shows the family they’ve been feeding on the wrong thing.

Soul of a Black Family
) This is a story of how a family almost fall apart when the head of the house(Big Momma) is not able to guide the family thru hard decisions anymore. It truly shows how if you teach your children right, the values in which you instill in them will last...forever. The method of this partical family getting together is Sunday dinners at Big Momma's house in which they enjoy the company of each other and some of the greatest Soul Food cooked in your own momma's kitchen. This isn't a boring movie or a goody goody movie, but more of a real life drama that some people viewing this movie can relate to. This is one of the best movies I have ever seen, and will see again and again. (Soul Food the Series was just as great as the movie)
