Well, the good thing about this game is it is the real Sopranos voices, and the game characters look like the real ones.
Unfortunatly, other than that, there is not much positive about this game. I beat it in under 4 hours, and it took everything inside me to go that long!
I love the HBO show, and I read all the bad reviews, but I asked myself "How bad can this really be?" I too soon found out that is is REALLY BAD. Boring, no free roam, glitches,etc.... It's not quite as bad as the 50 cent bulletpfoof game, but a close second. I recommend you rent it first, and if your happy with it... then go purchasee it....

First let me start off by saying that Im a big fan of the program and I cant believe they would make a game that doesn't match up to the show. I feel that the game was not thougt out, needed some edge and lacked in story line. Out of a possible 10 I give it a 7.

Storyline and characters are true to the series, no punches pulled with a true life feel. Gameplay is good but not overly difficult, was disappointed at how quickly I had completed the game.

best show in the world, worst game

First of all I absolutely love the show, I have the complete dvd collection, so when I heard about the game I had to have it. I had recently finished The godfather game and loved it so I was still in a gangster mood too.
It has all the authentic actors voices, but thats where the positives end.
I thought the graphics were sub-par more on the level of a good ps1 game, but certainly not ps2.
It is not free roam like godfather or gta, it is very limiting. It is borderline retarded in the way that you watch the animated movie until it prompts you to push the x button or tells you to move the left analog stick up and down, WHATS THAT ABOUT? AM I FIVE? I certainly hope thats not the demographic that thay're aiming for, because the language is 100% sopranos too, which is ok by me, but that is just how simplistic this game is. When I beat it I was dumbfounded, wheres the rest of my game? I thought it was just getting started and thats why it was still that simple, I figured once I was made that I was going to progress to some serious gaming but it was over.
This game should not have been sanctioned by HBO or the makers of the show because this has to be the worst game I have ever played. Buy any grand theft auto or the godfather if you're looking for a serious gangster game.

Bottom line is this, if you love the Sopranos GET THIS GAME. All the voice actors are from the real cast and the plot even includes Big Pussy. Hang out at the bing, play poker with Paulie, Chris, Sil and Tony... DO CRIMES with AJ.
Give this one a go, it rawks!

Pretty Good game, graphics could be better, but nonetheless this game will keep you busy. Still trying to finish the game, but I am enjoying it and would reccommend it to those who like GTA series and GodFather and other games along that line.

It's a great premise for a video game, but there's no meat. Just when it starts to get interesting, the game is over. Both of my sons (16 and 19 years old) beat the game in less than a day. It could and should have been so much better.

Overall it is a decent game. The visuals are good and the attitude is good. One interesting thing about the game is you can control the attitude, making the game different every time. You can go about it with a smooth attitude or a tough attitude and make different deals to cause your respect to grow faster. You can pay the family more or less and keep more or less money for yourself. But obviously the intent is to get the respect of the family. You can become friends with other characters in the game or you can just watch out for yourself. The faster your respect grows the faster you get the respect of Tony and the other Good fellas. One thing I didn't like about the game is that I beat the game the first time I played it. I was playing for about 2 1/2 hours and I thought that was kind of odd. Since I already beat the game I don't like to play it as much anymore. Now I'm playing Scarface...wait for my review of that one soon.

I love the show, so my wife got me this as a gift. Quite possibly the worst game i have ever played. Completely linear story line. Can't free roam, can't drive, fighting control is marginal at best, and the shooting control(when the game actually doesn't penalize you for doing it) is awful. Very unrealistic. You can kill an nemy with 3 shots from a 2x4, but you have to shoot him 8 times? Beat the game in 5.5 hrs. and it only took that long b/c i spent some time playing poker w/ the guys to make money that you never really need in gameplay! Speaking of poker, it unfortunately is probably the most appealing part of this game. Unless you are just a die hard Sopranos fan and have to see 4 yourself, pass on this one. But whatever you do, don't pay full price for it new!

Very much like the HBO TV series. All the voices and characters are matched up well with their personalitites. The story line is believable. The boys in Bada bing will keep you on your toes. Good Luck in Jersey

The Graphics are decent. The Soundtrack used in some levels are awesome. But Let me just note, this isn't a free roaming game like Scarface, or Grand Theft Auto San Series. So it's not a very playable game. You don't have too much choice where to go. You can't wander off into New Jersey, only a little bit within a small level. This isn't a difficult game, Violent but not difficult. It's also a very short game.

I do like how actual voices from the show are used, and the Bada Bing looks the same. So don't really pay a whole lot for this game because u will be disappointed, but if u can get it for a bargain, then go for it. I used it as a way to kill off some time. This game should of been made longer overall.

Real cast voices are the game's only strong point.

The only reason I got some enjoyment out of this game is because I love the show and it was kind of fun to "interact" with Tony, Paulie, Christopher, etc. But the characters don't look close enough to their real-life counterparts to make it seem even remotely like you're part of an episode. Gandolfini and company give the game some personality but you wouldn't expect these guys to spend more than an hour recording voiceovers, do you? The result - the game is very short. In order to make it last a little longer they had AJ's character figure very prominantly. I mean why else would he of all people be giving you "missions" in this game? The game mostly has you fighting, running to another place, and fighting again. You have a gun (pistol or shotgun) in only 2-3 missions because the gunplay is very poorly done. There are no driving missions which could have mixed things up a little. Gameplay is repetitive and to many it will seem pretty boring. You'll appear in the Bada Bing, Satriole's, a gym, hospital, garage, warehouse, casino, dockyard, etc. but all seem rather lifeless. There are no female cast members present nor do you see Tony's house. It would have been nice to see more characters from the show. It would have also been nice to have larger, freeroaming sets instead of everything being so linear; there are no side missions, you can't start trouble, etc. The loot you collect isn't worth much. The only thing I "bought" was some "respect" from Paulie. The whole Respect meter was ill-conceived as well. It never really played a part for me. I knew this game wasn't going to be very good but I wanted to play it anyway. It's short and easy...rent it first. I bought it on ebay and plan to sell it for about what I paid. This game doesn't compare to any of the the GTA games, obviously. But the gameplay is also much inferior to Scarface, Godfather, Mafia, Getaway and even Driver and True Crime. All show much more variety and some degree of depth. I'd only recommend this game to a Sopranos fan who's well aware of this game's shortcomings.

I got my game pretty fast. It's not the sellers fault but I alread beat the game in a weeks time and thats just from putzing around and not playing it that much. But the game was in good condition as the seller mentioned and would highly recommend.

My husband and I thought this game was great! The game itself was truly awesome! The voices were cool and the story was something right out of the show! We had a blast beating up the drug dealers, the pimps and the "bad guys". The best part is that you can use all the objects around you to hit someone or defend yourself. Fishing poles, a safe, lamps, a six-pack of beer, a table, a board, even a pencil in the eye! My husband liked useing the table saw on some guys head! This game in not for the faint of heart! The only problem we has was the game was to short! I wanted to keep playing! However, I would buy it again and I will buy part two if they make one!

Sopranos Road to Respect (good game...horrible ending

I purchased this game for my boyfriend for christmas. He played it for 2 days straight. He loves the show the Sopranos, and he liked playing the game, but when he got to the end of the game it would not allow him to finish. He then went online and tried to find out why, and all of the other reviews from this game stated the same... "can not finish game". So He enjoyed playing it, but could not finish. I am very suprised they did not fix the glitch before putting this game on the self.

Worked for THQ and tested this ...

The original plans for this game was a much larger game and it was supposed to have free roam. Unfortunately the developers were extremely sub-par. They had worked on this turkey for over a year before they delivered the Poker and Slot Machine portion of the game and a semi-working version of the Badda-Bing level. I tested it for over two months and never saw a full working version of the game before I was moved to SpongeBob. SpongeBob was more fun! Everyone that tested this game walked away shaking their heads. It was pushed out the door and obviously levels were cut to get it shipped for Xmas. To bad, it should have been a much better game. HBO should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this game to be released!

this game has great graphics, real voices,(from the tv show),when playing the game you the player, can see that the characters has the same mantality like the ones in the show, in this game you the player starts from the bottom (street thug) and get a chance to rise to the top, were tony sits, over all it is a good game to play.

i decided to buy the game because i am a big fan of the show. the game goes hand in hand with the show in many of the shows locations. the game was okay. it could have been longer. in the game, everyone you meet you have to fight, and you can't just whack 'em, or your crew will whack you!!

Before you buy this game, ask yourself......."Am I a real SOPRANO fan?" if the answer is no keep searching for another adventurous shoot 'em up bang bang game, if you answered "yes" then this is perfect. This game has to be the shortest played game i have ever played. 4hours no memory card and the game is over, "I'm (Joey) a Made Guy". its like a missing episode of the tv series. so if u hate the way the show ended (like every single viewer does) then play this it should "appease" u.
