    This is not an official American release, although they are Region 1 DVDs(USA, Canada)and will play in any American DVD player. HBO has confirmed they do NOT make a complete 1-6 box set. Nevertheless, this is a great item to own if you are new to the Sopranos or just want to have every episode at your finger tips in a nice convenient box.

    I have heard the video quality is slightly lower than the original releases, but it is rated at 480i (SDTV) and played just fine on my television. DVDs come in a thin-leaf booklet and sturdy box with artwork. This is a must-have for any Sopranos fan!

    Some may say these are of lesser quality because they are imports, but I could see absolutely no difference between these and the US Retail versions. In fact, I was very surprised at just how good they were! Picture quality AND sound were excellent from start to finish! I had one disc stop playing in the middle of an episode so I cleaned my DVD player lense (they DO get dirty) and started the episode over and it showed absolutely no signs of being faulty! That has ALSO happened with genuine US retail version DVDs that I own! If you have a DVD player and you use it often... CLEAN IT once in awhile!
