I recently purchased one of these pink Sony 2gb mp3 players for my wife and it was a great choice. Not only was it very affordable (I got mine for $31 with free shipping) but it is very easy to use. Have you ever owned or used an iPod and wondered "why do I have to use iTunes to load music" or maybe "how come I can't transfer songs to or from my friend's computer with this thing?" The answer is simple, because Apple disables that functionality from their devices. Sure there are some things an iPod can do that this Sony device can't (like play games and videos) but the reason I like the Sony device better is because it's so simple. You plug it directly into a USB port and it shows up in your "My Computer" profile as a new drive letter. You then drag and drop files onto the device the exact same way you would do with a flash drive. It's basically a flash drive with a music player, a couple buttons, a small display, and a headphone port. What else do you need? In conclusion: simple, affordable, easy to load and use. Best of all, no iTunes!
