    I have dozen's of old Hi-8 movies of the family & I wanted to convert them to digital so I could edit them on my computer & make copies for our grown children & our Grand Children. The cost for the conversions at Costco are pretty inexpensive but when it's multiplied by 50 films it's much cheaper to do it myself.

    The process of the conversion is simple with the VRD-M5.

    This recorder is small and handy. It is very convenient to make DVD titles from your camcorder. The only flaw is that the volume of recorded audio is fairly weak. I bought this product because this machine has its own LCD monitor and I don't have to connect a camcorder to DVD recorder with TV.
