I purchased this projector after reading about it in Consumer Reports.
It was very highly reccomended by them and after receiving it I know why.
My screen is 80 inches and it looks better than anything I have ever seen in any size at BestBuy or Fry's. Even up close at 80" images are very sharp and you'll know what HD is for when you see it on a big screen! This unit is for spoiled brats like me. The lamps aren't bad, but you can find them on ebay for $200. They last 3000 hours.
A really great feature is that you can adjust everything via the remote control. So I change the size often depending on where I am sitting.
The people at Sony really came up with a nice quality full 1080P HD projector at a great price.

I absolutely love this projector. The screen looks amazing. Blu-ray movies especially look good. I was a little worried at first, because of the short distance from my couch to the screen, but the picture is crystal clear. This projector has several different modes to match the lighting in your home. Before buying the projector, I looked at a 73" 1080p television & it didn't come close to comparing. The lamp for the projector is pretty expensive, but you can find some good deals on eBay.
