    For the money these little speakers are great. I have them connected to a Harmon/Kardon AV135 which, isn't the most powerful amp but it's a nice, quality unit for the money. I also have a Sony active sub with the same finish as the bookshelf speakers so they match and look very stylish the rest of my AV stuff. For 40 dollars and on a budget these speakers and my 100 dollar sub sound great together.
