Sony SLV-N55 VHS VCR

Correct remote is RMT-V402 THE REPLACEMENT NOW FOR THIS NUMBER IS:
RMT-V230
Without this correct remote you can't access the audio functions
i.e. stereo etc.,you can't access audio functions from unit,a universal
remote won't work for the audio section.
Doubt if the RM-V210 will work?.

Love Sony VCR's if they have been treated properly they are one of the top makes and this one was a very well taken care of unit..Happy to finally get something worth paying for.

- Very simple programming.
- Very reliable.
- Does not loose programs due to short power fluctuations.
- I record a lot and these are very durable.They last several years,
operating daily.
- Audio will function through cable/antenna connection.
- Hard switch setting for default channel 3-4.
- Remote tuner typically as VCR. Very durable/reliable.
- Nothing to say negative.
- Tried DVD/VCR combos and they all were too complex and all had
design/engineering faults. Lockups, poor manuals,loss of memory,
multiple connection scenarios, etc.
- VHS tapes are 8-hours at slow record. DVDs are about 2 hours for
the same purchase price of the VHS/VCR. Not worth the added price
to get long running DVD players. When I priced, for every couple of hours
ability added, the price doubled.
- These units are no longer made. I will keep using them as long as they
are available and the signals from providers can still be used.

I bought this VCR for my sister and was so pleased with the condition, much nicer than I thought it would be. the transaction was perfect.
