The reason for not "excellent" is because, yes, the PS2 is backwards compatible. But I still like playing it. It was a huge step forward in the gaming business as far as graphics and controls are concerned. Some of the best games that you play on a PS2 are infact Playstation games, not PS2 games. Games like Crash Bandicoot are still way better than some of the new games even though the new games might be more technologically advanced. Also the game, I.Q., is still wicked awesome compared to all other PS and PS2 games. Even in a used condition is still commands prices similar to the brand new games out there.
I've never had a problem with mine, it's never broken or skipped or frozen or anything. It's a fantastic system that has great games that are entertaining and challenging.
