Sony PlayStation 3 80GB Limited Edition MotorStorm Game pack - Game console - black

I recently bought a PS3 after spending a lot of time researching the PS3 vs the XBOX and the Wii. The PS3 is the best of the 3 in my opinion. Our family already owns a GameCube and the Wii (other than the controller) really isn't that much of an improvement over the GameCube. The Blu-ray capability in the PS3 makes it a better system than the XBOX.

OK if you have already decided on the PS3, the next choice is which one to get. Do not buy the 40 GB version it is NOT backward compatible, meaning you can not play Playstation or Playstation 2 games on it. You can with the 80 GB version. Plus, with all the things you can do you are going to want the extra storage space.

The 40 GB player ships with the Spider-Man 3 movie. Nice but you can pick this movie up for around $10 on eBay. The 80 GB player ships with the MotorStorm game which goes for around $45 on eBay and is a GREAT game.

MotorStorm uses the 6-axis feature in the controler - you move your hands to increase your turns when you drive your motorcycle thru the mud. Yep, Wii isn't the only one with sensors in their controller. Sony's useage of the 6-axis technology is just more subtle.

Sony has a nice line-up of games to choose from and allows you to play on line at no extra charge. It is fun to be able to challenge my little brother in Guitar Hero 3, we live in different states, and easy to access. Oh and the guitar for the PS# is wireless, just like the controllers, using bluetooth technology so I can dance all over the room if I want to and not worry about getting tangled up and tripping over unsightly wires.

The best part is the Blu-ray DVD player (which plays the old DVDs as well) oh my! the TV never looked so good. You won't want to watch regular DVDs after you hear and see how good Blu-ray movies are. Many Blu-ray DVDs ship with an insert that is a disclaimer that reads something like this: this Blu-ray is made with the highest and latest industry standard if it won't play on your player you made need to upgrade your hardware etc... YIKES! If you spent $500 on a Blu-ray player it can get quickly get passed by with the every changing and updated technology. Not to worry if you have a PS3 - it easily connects to the internet and Sony will push software updates to your system, so you will always have the most up to date version of software - that is another reason to get the 80 gig bundle. You will have plenty of room for your game files and for your software update files.

Sony released software version 2.17 on 13 March 2008. This update includes Blu-Ray 1.1 I feel bad for folks who shelled out the bucks for a Blu-ray player and will have trouble watching the latest discs.

Sony makes it possible to download updates on to a USB device and then let the PS3 system read it from your device if you don't have it connected to the internet or wi-fi. See their website for details.

Sound and Picture also depened on your TV set, Sound System, and which method you connect your player to both.

The ps3 can very well packaged in original box and everything was there. The only thing i was not expecting was that there were two pretty big scratch marks on the top of it that i was not expecting. I don't really care anyways as long as it works (which it does). Very good product and lots of fun to play (COD4!!!)

It's heavier than the 40GB Sony PS3. However, it has more USB spots and more space in hard drive. In addition, it also has cards adapter. It can playback PS2 games at the same time. It's just a great PS3 system. Great 80GB!

It's been said in Godfather Part III. "Just when I thought I was out they pulled me back in." I had thought since I gave away my XBOX 360 which was a great console, I just didn't play games as much I probably should have. That I could just put video games behind me and move forward. After a few months I got the itch to play video games again and I had heard wonderful things about the Playstation 3 and the fact that it was a Blu-ray Player didn't hurt either. The games look fantastic on this system and so do the DVD's and the Blu-Ray Discs quite honestly. I use mine everyday. This is the best console yet! I've owned almost all of them since the Atari and this beats them all!. Very slique and stylish and fits well in your room whatever your style may be. Love the fact that there isn't a drive door that opens, that you feed the disks in the front of it like a car stereo.

Also love the fact that you can save your games onto the system instead of loading the games all the time.

I love my new Sony PlayStation 3. It is worth the price I paid for it. And a reasonable alternative to buying a Blu-Ray player. The graphics for games and movies are above par and worth the amount paid for the system. The PlayStation may have got a slow start in the new generation console war, but I believe anyone who buys one will clearly see that it should not be counted out.

Seriously...a guy I worked with did this (MY BROTHER JUST GOT HIS TOO) and got a PS3 (which also has a blue-ray disc player in it). So, I went ahead and signed up. Well the answer is yes and no it depends what you are buying for example my first eBay purchase was and I do mean first was a PlayStation 3 at the time I thought that I had gotten a great deal paying $670 dollars. But after my purchase and some further research on the Internet I found out that I could've gotten it cheaper. not to mention if I would've bought it at Amazon.com I would have been given 30 days to get a discount if I saw the same item at a cheaper price. I know this is to be true because in previous business doing with Amazon they had given me credit up $200 for a Sony LCD TV i had purchased. But however I have also bought some video games for the PlayStation and definitely got a great deal on eBay and only on eBay can you get such a deal. As for the PlayStation 3 I don't think there's anything bad that can be said about it .it's an incredible video gaming system the only thing bad about the system is the amount of time you will waste playing. I highly recommend this video gaming system especially if you happen to have a lot of free time on your hands.
