Sony PlayStation 2 Slim - Charocal black

The Sony PlayStation 2 Slim (PStwo) is an excellent video game system (and DVD player) for your money. It is the 2004 version of the award-winning PlayStation 2 released in 2000, but it is much more compact and adds built-in online capability. Here is a more thorough list of the pros and cons:

Pros:
1. Has a huge selection of games for all ages and genres
2. Plays both DVDs and CDs (and you can purchase a remote separately)
3. It's tiny! And it easily fits into most entertainment system
4. Is relatively cheap compared to the newest systems
5. Is very affordable, especially when compared with the 2005-2006 systems
6. Has built-in online capability and playing online with others is free

Cons:
1. Despite its newness, it does not have the latest graphics capabilities
2. Its online experience is not as robust and polished as Xbox Live
3. Discs are top-loaded, which requires more room than front-loading trays
4. Unlike the original PlayStation 2, it has no hard drive expansion option

In summary, the PlayStation 2 Slim is an excellent system with great value. It may not be nearly as functional or snazzy as the PlayStation 3 (March 2006) or the Xbox 360 (Nov 2005), but it really gets the job done as an affordable game system and DVD player. I hope this was helpful!

I purchased this item for my son for christmas because that is all he has been asking for. I in turn find out that the gentleman that I bought it from lied and it was a scam. I have not yet received my money back from the purchase but he didn't hesitate to take my money. I also have not received the product and have been informed that more than likely I will not receive it. I was very disappointed and discouraged to think that there was not some way to monitor these transactions and the money to not be spent by the seller until the item has actually been sent to the buyer. I in turn am being charged a $25.00 fee just to dispute this transaction to get my money back, so out of the $70.00 that I spent I will only receive $45.00 back. That is if I get my money back at all.

Although this system is last-gen, it still has the staying power to keep up with the newer systems on the market. The graphics rivals even that of the Wii, and looks great on an HD TV. The best thing about the PS2 is it's huge game library and backwards compatibility with Playstation games. Also there are a lot of must have Games on PS2. There are still hundreds of new game titles being made for this system including the same titles you will see on the more expensive systems like xbox 360,Wii and PS3. This will make this system relevant well into the coming years! Overall, there are lots of great features on the PS2!

i loved the fast shipping the ps2 was shipped very carefully pleanty of bubble wrap used to insure it would not be shipped broken the ps2 had no dust or anything like that the games are in perfect condition and its going to take a while for me to pass them because it came with 7 really good games.

Good price - my grandchildren's previous PS2 had broken. I went to eBay and found this great deal. Now there are happy grandchildren playing their PS2.

I love how slim it is so it takes up less space and it much easier to store. The fact that it is slim also makes it easier for my child to have many places to keep it. I decided to buy it because my child had been asking for it for months. I am really happy with it and my child loves it. There are many games for it that are not violent or too mature. I would recommend it to other parents.

I NEVER RECIEVED THE PLAYSTATION 2. APPARENTLY THE PERSON SELLING IT DID NOT HAVE IT IN HIS POSSESSION. HE CLAIMS HE GOT RIPPED OFF ORDERING THEM. EBAY SHOULD NOT ALLOW PEOPLE TO SELL THINGS THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE IN THERE POSSESSION

The guy never sent it to me and I had to open a dispute. He has not contacted me at all and is now no longer a registered ebay user. I think after I get this settled I will stop being an ebay user myself.

PS2 is the best game system for the price. Sony has winner that will last forever as long as they keep making games for it. This game system is for everyone, especially those on a tight budget. There are al sort of games out there for it and at a cheap price. Since you can not play the PS1 or 2 games on most PS3's it makes the PS2 live on.

This a wonderful game system because it is so small and easy to manage. It is like new and I am very please with it.

product in perfect condition, has some paint stains may be removed but quick to clean small rays, wireles control problems for the program and a key is not returned correctly, the games included in the package all work correctly.

An econimical console. Still widely supported with software. Repairs throught Sony also very affordable.

I LIKE this game alot. It's very entertaining and its slim so it can be put anywhere ina table. It came with its stand so it doesnt take up a lot of space like the old PS2 that was thicker.

I like the slim version that I got for around $60 and the new one out there is still going strong for $139.99, but I was not happy to see that the console was once opened so I fear that some surgery was once done to it. I played a DVD and it was fine until it skipped a little bit and it kept returning to the DVD Menu I really hope it doesn't do that for the games that I will try today. Other than that I love it!
