Sony Network Walkman NW-E105 (512 MB) MP3 Player

This was purchased as a gift. Music files (ATRAC3) were easily and quickly transferred from other Sony MP3 devices. Especially through SonicStage as groups. The interface was not quite as exceptional as a Network Walkman NW-HD1 which has 20 GB however. One could not go into music files by artist, genre, album as on the NW-HD1 but the NW-E105 is much much smaller.

If you want a simpler, smaller, less expensive device and very portable but high quality MP3 device go for this one. It seems to hold more than 512 MB worth of data. Maybe it's because of the ATRAC3 compression routine. It's a quality Sony product with Sony compatability!

You won't find another MP3 come close to this. This is Top of the line.

I bought this Sony walkman for my sister, who walks alot and does alot of yard work. My daughter has a Sony walkman similar to this one, so I knew it would be easy to operate and I knew the quality of the Sony name.

I bought this as an alternative to the Sony Net-MD that I used to own. It was actually a gift for my dad. It was really small, and really easy to use, much like the Net MD by Sony. And you can play this thing all day long for a week on ONE BATTERY!!!! The only thing that was a little quirky is that Sonic Stage...It didn't work as easily as it has in the past. But overall, I would buy one again!

Love: Very small, very light, super-easy software. I work outdoors and can't carry anything I don't want easily damaged. Psyc Network Walkman NW-E103 is so small and light that I tie it to one of the braids in my hair: perfect!

Dislike: Limited ability to play different types of files... Also, the controls are very sensitive and often found it had been turned on while in my pocket or bag, draining the battery. When on "shuffle," seemed like battery used up much more quickly. Also, Connect Music Store by Sony, which has right music file type is shutting down soon (Jan 2008).
Still....good use for a low price.

I purchased this MP3 player for a friend after she saw mine and was impressed. She really likes that it only takes one battery and doesn't need to be charged thru the computer or an outlet. It's perfect in size, small, fits in pockets. Nice colors also. Price is very reasonable.

Excellent Product, easy to use possesses a good design and the best thing is super frivolously, ideally to take it in a trip..

the item was just what i had expected. no problems here. the reason for my purchase through ebay was to save some money on what would have been an expensive purchase through a store for the same item. I already had one of these items and was purchasing one for my mother for a gift. So this was a great chance to get a expensive gift and a resonable price.

This is my second one. Easy to use, good size fits in palm of hand or your pocket. Great sound. Operates on 2 AAA Batteries. Great value at under $50 for 512 MB. A good starter MP3. Plays songs straight through or shuffle. The only thing that would make it better is smaller earbuds. But they are easy to replace as it has a universal jack. I'm loading all my CDs that have a variety of artists onto this one. Perfect for long plane trips.

I have the 1GB version of this and I love it!!
Batt life is GREAT compared to other units.
Sony says 70hrs but if you play with the menu scrolling songs a lot it's about half that or lil less.
Still superior to others!!
Sonic Stage Software it comes with isn't hard to learn at all.
With a dual end male patch cord you can hook the unit via headphone jack to AUX of bigger boom boxes and such to enjoy.(Radio Shack)
I use mine with a DEWALT Worksite radio or Philips cassette adapter for the car.
Great lil unit to carry in your pocket(I use a felt Crown Royal pouch to carry it so it don't get scratched)
Bottom line....
Batt life and convenient size is what sold me on it!
