I received the item from the seller in poor condition. It was grimy and dusty. The seller mailed a somewhat expensive item in a postal envelope instead of a (more protective) box. The seller listed this item as "mint condition" which it was not. And lastly, when we went to actually use the item it would not work.

It is a great product as it will open a door for gaming. It also allows you to add HDD which creates endless possibilities of entertainment.

Perfect complement. It is needful for the PlayStation2. As I can use for play my backups from it, and also connect to the iNet for playing around the world.

the shipping when i look at the envelop only cost US2.65 but most seller are charging about US5 and some even charge US10 to ship in US and if they ship to asia some are charging US15 - US20 but when u see at the envelope the postage only Us8.25

We had a playstation 2 with network and we had bought another playstation 2 and it did not have network adapter, so we have bought this network adapter so my son can play games with his friends when they come over. It works and he likes to access network games.

Sony Network Adaptor for PlayStation 2 was a great addition to my old ps2, it expanded my capabilities for online gaming and I found with a little homework I was able to store entire games and game saves on my hard drive which is a requirement. for the money I found this a great addition to my gaming system. suddenly you have a computer not just a game system!

What I did not like was that it comes with software to put it into operation.

This is a review of the Go-net Broadband Network Adapter, NOT the Sony Network Adapter. I don't know why this review is popping up in the Sony Network Adapter list. The Go-net is NOT a Sony product, and it is NOT the same thing as the Sony Network Adapter.

Do NOT buy the Go-net!!!

It only works with REALLY old PS2 games... 2002-era stuff like Socom 1 and Madden 2002. I had intended to use it to play Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Call of Duty 3... and it doesn't even work with Star Wars Battlefront 1 or Call of Duty 2. The general concensus seems to be that it won't work on any game made/released in or after 2004.

Also, the disc it comes with doesn't allow you to set up a network configuration!

The product isn't made anymore -- it was made in 2002 -- so there's absolutely no support for it, such as a list of compatible games... which would have been really useful to me BEFORE I bought an obselete product.

Do NOT buy the Go-net. Either save up 50 or 60 bucks for a Sony network adapter online, or buy one of the newer slim PS2's... they have network adapters built right in, and no external device is needed.

The Go-net is garbage.

Everyone was running the price of this simple gadget out of sight, but it was far easier to acquire it online than to travel 100 miles to a pawn shop to get one. In the pawn shop, it was $20 for the adaptor, not over $35 from the dopes online.

The adaptor connects an IDE HDD to the PS2 (with special software) to allow for playing of online games and storage of saves from the memory cartridges. The item works well with the old PS2 Phat and also has no means of support, other than the simple bracket that came with it.

I like mine and it works beautifully and does what I want. I can also play music and other movie like files from it (with appropriate programs). Very cool item from a time when few things like this existed.

What i love about this item is that when you have no one to play with you can just go online with it and play with multiple gamers. i decided to buy this item because i can hook up the adapter into the ps2 and connect online to play.

My son wanted to play PS2 games online with his friends. He had the older style PS2 without the network adapter. Purchased this one and it worked great.
