Works great. Has great zoom lens, which is one of the reasons I wanted it.
Good picture, not grainy.

My wife has had one for several years through her jobs as an educator. I always wanted one, but price kept me away. Using eBay I was able to keep my budget and my desires in balance.

I obtained mine for the incredible price of 30.00 including new battery and charger/bag. This camera when new, was state of the art technology. I fell in love with it way back in 2000 when I saw someone with one. I immediately quizzed them on the make,brand, ect. I never thought I'd win contest with some of the photos. It's funny when I can take shots with this, that rivals some of the cameras today that cost 10x as much. Good zoom,macro. Very user friends. Picture quality is good for being only one format,640x480. Flash is VERY strong. Takes a little experience to get use to that. Otherwise, If you get a chance to get one thats been properly taken care of, jump on it!!!!

I like the use of a FDD to store the pics. There are a few things that in retrospect I would have not bought this camera.
1 - The Floppy Drive takes ~7 seconds to store the 640x480 .jpeg which can be sometimes irksome when trying to catch the action in certain situations
2 - The flash does *not* adjust for lighting/distance. If you're too close the flash will *really* wash out the subject big time. One solution is to move a little further from your subject and use the zoom lever to 'get in close'
3 - The Floppy drive restarts the numbering of the files anew when you change diskettes. This makes for issues when transferring pics off the floppy to your computer. There are a few free programs out there that will re-name the floppy files to the date/time stamp of the pic. One in particular called MVCREN was made specifically to address the Mavica filename issues. I should warn you that this program will run under Win 9x/XP but will run in a DOS window and has a Command Line interface.

Love that it records to 3 1/2" diskette! No cables, just insert into floppy drive disk. Decided to buy (1)lithium battery w/charger (2) large display on camera (3) great for ebay!

I collect these cameras, and give them to those I love that are in need of a camera. These cameras are not only take great pictures, but are so easy to use. For this forgetful old grandma, they are just what the doctor ordered.

WAS TOLD INTERNAL BATTERY NEEDED CHANGED. REALLY APPRECIATED HE HAD LOOK UP THE PROBLEM, SO I HAD BATTERY WAITING AND WITHIN 15 MINUTES OF ARRIVAL HAD IT WORKING JUST GREAT. GOTTA LOVE IT WHEN PEOPLE ARE HONEST.

I have one mess it up with lable on floppy disc. This one works just fine, takes perfect pictures, I use it for photographs on E-bay. I say you need camera for internet pictures this one is as good as you can get. Takes pictures in low light.

Was told about this camera by a fellow E-bayer for taking pictures for listings...this camera takes great close-ups. I love it. Would recommend to anyone needing a good, cheap, high quality camera. Get one!

I buy so much I cannot identify this particular item. I believe I bought this camera in a non-working condition and was satisfied with the purchase. Most of my purchases on eBay are satisfactory to highly satisfactory. I have had a lot of misrepresentations. The last three I reported and nevcere heard from eBay. They are auction item 350020203118 in which the coin photo was made to look like mint luster. The other two were coins that did not match the photos and weere misrepresented as uncirculated. All three coins were circulated coins. The last two items 330210217016 & 330110217704 were also reported, but I never heard from eBay. The return policy on all three were such that S/H both ways, etc. makes return financial unfeasible. Thank you for listening to my complaint. I reiterate that Most of my purchases were great! I have used one at work for several years and was always pleased with it. This is why I was looking for one at a decent price for use at home. It only uses floppy discs but for what I need it for it works out fine. It is a great camera for record keeping and similar uses. Very easy to use although it is a bit large and heavy compared to newer units. I believe it is a great starter camera for the person who is just getting used to a digital camera.

The standard of excellence today's cameras have achieved would place the Sony Mavica at the bottom of any list.
I actually use it in the workshop where I make a photographic record of the disassembly of machinery, so as not to forget where and how parts were
placed.
The camera is very easy to use and if a problem with reassembly arises I simply. install the floppy disc into the computer for reference.
The large size of the camera makes it possible to use while wearing work
gloves.

I bought this camera to use to take pictures for insurance purposes. The programs on the office computers are for 4" floppy disc. I was very pleased to find this one as an exptra since the are very expensive when bought new. The camera was in like new condition.

I needed this camera to complete a project and the camera was a excellent condition and shipped very well. I am pleased with the camera.
