Sony MDR-NC40 Consumer Headphones

I LOVE this headset. I've been looking for years for a headset that I can wear to sports and hear the radio commentary over the crowd noise. With this headset, I've found it. It is light weight and folds to fit in a small case. The ear pieces are very comfortable. One minor problem is finding a place to clip the battery case. I purchased it because a salesperson at Best Buy recommended it.

Before I purchased these I was using some older Realistic pro 35 headphones which provided excelent response and excellent bass. The problem was they were getting old and starting to fall apart.

I tried the bose out but $300 is to much to spend on headphones (for me atleast)
I tried these Sonys and they are about on par with the previous headphones.

The noise cancelling is ok at best, wont get total noise cancelling but its ok.

Pretty good, I like the item and for 39.99 it was a great buy. I decided to buy it because I go on trips, like to sleep, etc. Well 4/5

Its good product to spend and enjoy.

One thing I like more on this product is the bass effect on low volume also.

The noice reduction is also too good. Worth to buy

I bought this headset because it really reduce aircraft noise,it is compact and light. Also is a good price for the brand.

I tested many, including Sennheiser and Bose. These Sony's are the most comfortable, ultra lite-weight headphones, with fantistic sound and great bass. I am a happy listener. Also comes with a deluxe, compact storage case. Sony has not cut any corners. A home run.

I like how the headphones fold for easy carrying. I use them with dvd player on air travel. Average sound cancelling.
