What's good about the Sony MDR-IF540RK infrared headphones: There is no RF interference from portable phones as there is sometimes with the RF types. The headset is comfortable.
What is bad about the Sony MDR-IF540RK: The sound to noise ratio is poor compared to the Sennheiser or the Sony Model MDR-IF240R. It is rather annoying to hear background hissing. The Sennheiser TI810 which has excellant sound quality is uncomfortable to wear and the sound quality on the Sony MDR-IF240R is less than desirable. Also, the headset does not register well in the charging cradle. Sometimes it takes several attempts for the headset to be properly registered with the charger.
