The XBR9 is an excellent HDTV with superb detail, excellent contrast & sleek styling. I previously owned a Sony 40XBR4, and the XBR9 is a substantial improvement - it shows how quickly the technology is evolving. While I considered a Samsung B750 - I realized that the Samsung glossy screen would be a poor fit for my well lit room.
I highly recommend this model to anyone considering a top notch HDTV. Ebay sellers also provide significant savings to the prices quoted by most B&M vendors.

This LCD HD TV has it all. Great picture, easy to set up, easy to use menu, and looks great. Simply the best. Even my techie son, who purchased a Samsung, agreed the Sony is superior! What more can I say. You will not be disappointed with this TV. I waited 2 years to make my purchase and I am glad I waited for the XBR9.
