The Handycam Vision series is also loaded with a remarkable array of technological advancements and new performance enhancements such as reduced power consumption, Stamina Battery System for up to 12 hours on one optional battery (NP-F950), longer tape time, and a spectacular level of image clarity and detail.Extended resolution enables you to record up to 440 lines of resolution as compared to 400 on previous Sony Hi8 models and 240 lines on VHS or VHS-C camcorders. The CCD-TRV65 provides greater image detail and clarity even in low contrast situations. For the first time ever, you can now capture video even when you're shooting in total darkness (0 lux) using the built-in NightShot infrared system. You can capture images that would be invisible to the human eye from up to ten feet away with no additional lights. With the optional HVL-IRH Nightshot Light, images up to 100 feet away may be captured. Time-Base Correction compensates for unwanted picture jitter during playback by storing the video in a memory field and releasing the signal at timed intervals. Each time recording is stopped and started, Flying Erase head eliminates "rainbow noise" glitches for smooth transitions. LaserLink Wireless Connection System with TV Control lets you beam your video from your camcorder to your TV from up to 16 feet away without need for wires. Simply plug the optional IFT-R10 wireless receiver directly into your TV or VCR, point your camcorder at the screen and press play. Playing back great video on your television has never been this easy. Intelligent Accessory Shoe Communicates signals between the camcorder and accessories for simplified usage. Located on top of the camcorder, the function buttons illuminate when needed (in player mode). This camcorder uses five heads for optimal picture quality in both SP and LP recording modes, and glitch-free editing stops and starts. SteadyShot Picture Stabilization smoothes and steadies your images while recording. Built-in motion sensors and Hyper-Precision CCD technology - with 470, 000 pixels - eliminate hand shake to produce clear, highly detailed pictures without compromising image size or picture quality. Even without a charged battery, the camcorder will run for up to two hours on six AA batteries using the in-built AA battery holder. Advanced Five-Language Titler allows you to title your videos in 5 languages: English, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Chinese.
