It was only because I didn't take the time to understand what I was doing. It's small and light. The mini dvd's can go right into our dvd players, or I can copy them for friends and relatives. I have yet to get one decent video disk from this camera, it will record and then the disk becomes corrupt and all the precious video is lost. I have tried different media without success. Read the manual and set the camera record level at highest quality or you WILL be disappointed. That being said the camera does a fine job in a variety of situations. The one negative I've found is the difficulty of finding software that will allow me to edit the videos. Sony wasn't much help when I contacted them.
