Sony Handycam DCR - TRV310

I needed a camera that could interface with the computer via Firewire, as well as play old analog tapes. This camera does it all. The color view finder is a nice feature.

I bought this camera because of the size and quality, but unfortunately the repairs to it was more than I could afford and had to sell it back on ebay for parts.

The camera was in excellent condition and it came with extras like lights, 3 sets of batteries, cords, wireless remote, AV Cordless Infrared Receiver (works to broadcast your recordings direct from your camera to your TV or Monitor with a hardwire connection from the camera), etc.

The packaging was very safe and secure, and I can't say enough about the value of receiving so many extra accessories for only $150.00.

This was a deal of deals for the value and price it can't be beaten.

I bought this camera to replace my old one which had developed a problem after 10 years of great service. It is an exact duplicate of my old Sony TRV315. It is very rare to find one of these units for sale in any condition. It is one of Sonys best camcorders, and is highly prized by camcorder users. The TRV315 is a consumer camera which encorporates many features found only on very expensive prosumer or professional cameras. My first TRV315 came with a $900.00 price tag, and was well worth that price. When my new camera arrived I discovered that the tape compartment was stuck closed. It took me an hour an a half to get it to open, and I was fearful that I had bought a lemon. However, once I got the compartment to work, and made a few minor adjustments to the camera, it operated perfectly. I contacted the seller to make him aware of the problem, and his kind response was that he had checked the unit before shipping, and it was working perfectly at that time. He offered to make any needed repairs at no cost. I appreciated this. I surmised that the problem must have happened during shipping, by rough handling. At any rate, now that I have used the camera for a few weeks, I am delighted with it. I'm glad to still have all the professional features this camera offers, and at just over $300.00, I think it was a great purchase for me. In fact, I had the old camera repaired, and the cost of the repair was very close to what I paid for the new camera. I now have a great back up. I couldn't be happier.

The Sony Camcorder CCD-VX3 is a Pro Video Camera. I bought it used and I am very happy with the Image resolution via the 3CCD. Way clearer than the HI 8 Digital resolution. This camera was to replaced my DCR-TRV310 that I own for a few years and used intensively for Weddings and other fonctions. I am not a professional Videographer but a serious amateur. The CCD-VR3 is of better image quality and the Stereo sound surpasses the TRV-310. It is a larger camera. My only reproach is the lack of Firewire or USB output to connect to the computer, (because it is an older camera). The S video is your output.~ I love both my Sony Cameras.

it was my friends 20th marriage aniversary one of my other friend was making movie.after finish the party he hook up digital camcorder in to t.v .i was watching the movie and i was decided that i will buy the same camcorder .i asked make and model # and wait for money,at that time my income was very bad i can not afford $400 for my digital camcorder,but it was my dream.luckily once upon a time i was on line (E. BAY) and i found a dcr on affordable price so i bid it and i won my dream.i was so happy i made many movies of different occasions. and converted them into dvd and dubbing sound effects and music .but some time i think it is not fair i distribute my time ,my wife time, my kids time,my friends time to my dream camcorder so why i sell it on E.BAY again perhaps an other one else were waiting to his dream.

IT WAS OK ANYWAY ONLY THAT THE SELLER WAS A LITTLE BIT UNRESPONSIVE. WELL THIS IS ALL I GOT TO SAY. I HAVE NOT MUCH TO REVIEW OTHER THAN THAT. THANK YOU !

I bought the item so I can record concerts, family and friends along with out doors activities. I just love this cam.
