Sony Ericsson W300i Walkman (Unlocked)

Long battery life.Music and ringtones can be added easily.Radio on it.Good signal.
Seems as though the ribbon cable that goes from the mouth half to the ear half goes bad...still like this phone despite.

What I liked about the phone is the fact it worked when I recieved it. No problems very easy to setup.

1.Works fine with GSM networks in Israel.
2.Support many languagues like Russian, Arabic, English, Hebrew...
3.Bluetooth devices menu with a lot of unknown names inside (deleted by me).
4.Firmware update unavailable.
5.Good price for this phone.

Great old phone, I was able to make it like new. Good shipping too!! The phone was already unlocked so it can use several sim cards. It was worth the price.

This is supposed to be a excellent phone, which the type is but this one people cannot hear you talk on the other end, broken, and I think it is from 2001, kinda old to be in such great shape, but it is broken.

the phone was listed as new.they sent me a used phone with someone elses phone numbers in it. it was cheap plastic .i wouldnt buy anything from this seller again.i used the car charger and it fell apart.i returned it for a refund

I bought the Sony Ericsson W300i phone about ago, i received the phone with no problem. The phone is great and like. I didn't even pay that much for it.

Since Sony Ericsson first introduced its Walkman cell phone line last year, music-friendly phones have had mixed success in the United States. Though they're lauded by users and critics alike, including us, U.S. carriers, haven't clamored to include the handsets in their lineups. Sure, Cingular offers the W600i, but that's the exception rather than the rule. Sony Ericsson no doubt has taken notice of this discrepancy, which may be a reason behind the Sony Ericsson W300i. While previous Walkman phones were packed with the most expensive features, the W300i aims to be a low-end Walkman phone. Though you still get Bluetooth, a VGA camera, and the full range of Walkman music compatibility, the overall effect is a step down from models like the Sony Ericsson W810i. We weren't crazy about some design elements, but call quality was good, and we applaud Sony Ericsson for bringing mobile music to the masses. No carrier was set at the time of this review, so the GSM handset will run you $32.
So far, Sony Ericsson has stuck to swivel and candy bar designs for its Walkman phones, so we were glad to see the company roll out a flip phone in the series. From the outside it's quite attractive; our version came in black, but you can get it in white as well. It doesn't bear much of a resemblance to the company's few other flip phones; we like the clean lines, the looped antenna, and the textured covering on the bottom of the front flap. The phone is relatively compact at 3.5 by 1.8 by 1.0 inches, so it's easily placed in most pockets. It's also quite light for its size at 3.3 ounces, but the trade-off is that the overall construction feels somewhat flimsy. We didn't have any problems when using the phone, but it felt almost too light in our hands.
In the center of the front flap is the postage stamp-size external display. Though monochrome, it's quite bright and displays the usual information, including the date, time, battery life, signal strength, and caller ID (where available). You can't change the backlighting time, but a quick flick of the volume rocker will activate the display for inspection. Above the screen is the VGA camera lens and a self-portrait mirror (but no flash), while the speaker is on the top of the rear face. The aforementioned volume control is on the left spine along with a control for activating the music player and playing and pausing music. The infrared port is on the right spine, while the connection port for the charger, the wired headset, and the USB cable is on the bottom of the handset. One design flaw of the new Walkman phone connection port is that you can't connect two cables at once.
Inside the phone you'll find the 1.75-inch (128x160) internal display. Sony Ericsson always does a good job with its displays, and the W300i is no exception. Bright and vivid, it displays all 262,144 colors beautifully and is perfect for viewing photos and videos, playing games, and scrolling through the user-friendly menus. You can change the brightness but not the font size or backlighting time.
On the other hand, Sony Ericsson doesn't have a great track record with navigation controls and keypad buttons. Though it made positive strides with the W810i, the W300i shows a return to bad habits. The five-way toggle is big and doubles as a shortcut to four user-defined functions, but it's flush with the surface of the phone and thus takes some getting used to. The flat soft keys

The phone is relatively small, light, and convenient to carry. It has the feuture that allows user to connect bluetooth device for talking but not for listening streaming music. Expandable memory makes it easy to restore more songs, data, pics, etc. that can be retrieve for use. It has only one time and one recurrent alarm, unlike W580i that has 5. Round shape keys are relatively easy to press.

I have owned it for about a month and the little piece that covers the microphone has fallen off. Not to pleased with the sony phones right now. This is the third one in a year I have purchased.

I am really happy with this phone, The only thing is that the pictures aren't really good. The design is nice. It's a good size, not too big, not to little. This is easy to learn how to use it.

I did't like this phone. This phone is very bad choise for cell phones. Horrible quality of the sony ericsson phone. After week using this phone, I got very frustrated because this phone almost always accidently shout downed (turned out). And ,finally, this sony ericsson doesn't work anymore. I though the problem in battery, but I was wrong. The problem in phone itself. Looks like internal problem in electr board. Phone flashing but not working. I was making sure battery is good. I even, purchased another battery, but it didn't help in anything. Now my phone is useless. Beware of sony ericsson cell phones. They are very poor quality made from.

This phone was ok,not outstanding,although I only kept it for a week due to other issues,the phone itself was pretty good

Very small LCD and the power botton is so small. I won't recommend his to my friend. This look like a toy a very small phone. The battery is not working properly and deformed. I asked the seller to send me a replacement battery. Overall I am not pleased with this type of phone.

This brand of phone is the only I have known but I do like it very much. The mp3 feature is nice and the ability to put songs as ringtones saves me a lot of money compared to buying the ring tones separately from the songs on itunes. I had the phone first before I purchased it on ebay but it is a nice phone. My previous one had a screen malfunction and I was unable to use it, according to some these phones are prone to error but it is a great phone. All in all, while it lasts, it's a great phone.

I loved this phone. It's small but it packs a great punch for the price. I got a refrub from AT&T when it was free. I like it so much I am looking to purchase a backup when it goes out. Features: Camera (pics are decent), radio (great reception) mp3 capable (although I have an iPod so I don't use) different ring tones for different callers, long battery life in my experience. Personalized message can be recorded onto the phone and used as ringer! I am becoming an avid texter and I use my phone hard. I've had it for about one year now with no issue (hope I am not jinxing myself here) It has some dings on it but it keeps on ringing! I would highly recommend for those who like moderate bells and whistle on their phones with not alot of complication or money spent. Hope my review was helpful.

You can never go wrong with a sony ericsson. This phone has many great features, camera, radio, and many more. The pictures could be a little better, but I get really good reception with this phone. Definitly worth the money.

I decided to buy it because it was similar to my old phone, sony ericsson w800i, which recently broke, and was short on money but needed a phone that I can work.

Phone was in excellent condition (like new) worked right out of the box. Quick receipt of the package. Great deal all around.
