I've had this phone for about 2 years and I'm satisfied. I'm not into picture-taking, web-browsing, game-playing, ring-tones, or any of those new technologies, so I have no comments about that. I just use my phone for what a phone was made for: making and receiving calls. The reception is good, but it could be better: as soon as I enter my kid's school (even in the lobby!) the signal is gone; the same happens inside a building or a basement. I just used the camera once to take a picture of my baby son and put it as the wallpaper, it looks good. Since I keep it inside my purse most of the time and it has been dropped several times, the screen is now scratched and scuffed. The joystick gets stuck when scrolling up a list, I don't know if because of the drops or age of the phone. What I love most is the phone book: you can add 3 numbers and e-mail address for every contatc, and each is assigned an icon for home, mobile or work. That makes it easy to recognize who's calling and from where. Right now it's not charging, don't know what happened. Bought a new battery, but didn't work. Maybe should buy a new charger, or better a new phone. I've read other reviews and it's really hard to choose. All I want is a phone that has good reception.

Sony Ericsson T610 - Great little phone for the price Review created: 09/02/06(updated 09/04/06) 5 of 8 people found this review helpful.
This is not another review that complains about a bad seller or bad reception. That has nothing to do with the phone. This is what you are looking for, a real review of the phone. I was looking for a phone and the features I wanted were (in order of importance): 1) cheap 2) Bluetooth and 3) small. I didn't care what it looked like, but it had to have Bluetooth. The T610 was one of the first phones to have this great feature, and it was a camera phone to boot! Small enough to fit in a pocket, this candy-bar phone had everything I wanted, and the best part, it was cheap. Since it came out a few years ago, T-Mobile was discontinuing it. Although you might not be able to find it in stores, you can still find it on eBay. It's a GSM tri-band phone, so it works with T-Mobile and Cingular. Once you find it cheap on eBay, you can buy service from one of the 2 listed and they give you a SIM card or use it while traveling worldwide. With a fresh battery, it will last 11-13 hours of talk-time, 300+ in stand-by! Other features include infrared, JAVA capabilities, and WAP. Call quality is great, and the buttons and menu layout are easy to use. You can check out more specs by clicking 'More Information' above. Overall, this is a great phone if you can get your hands on one. They are very popular in Europe, so there are lots of parts and accessories available and plenty of fan websites to download free themes, screensavers, and ringtones.
