I wouldn't spend any extra money for this phone.
Pros - This phone is small and thin (About 3" x 1.5" x 0.5") so it fits in your pocket or just about anywhere. It has a memory simm which holds more numbers than the average user needs and it also enables you to transfer your stored numbers easily if you get a new phone. It has a color display and several different user options you can chose from to make it easier to see.
Cons - The keypad is small so it can be difficult at times using it. Some people say it sounds like I'm talking in a tunnel but that may be from the network??? The power on button acts kinda funny and it either doesn't want to power on or off when you press it. Sometimes you have to hit or hold it down very long for it to work.
My biggest disappointment with this phone is the connectors for the accessories. They have plastic tabs that lock in the bottom of the phone and the tabs tend to break off easily. When they do, it renders the accessory unusable! Make sure you look at this because this pertains to the handsfree accessory as well as the charger (Home or Auto). They should have used a straight jack type plug. I've gone through two handsfree headsets and two car chargers for this unit because the tabs broke off. I've only had this unit for 1 year.
As far as the battery goes, it seems to have an average life span as most cell phone. I'm still on my first battery and I keep my phone on 24/7 and it is just now starting to show a shorter charge capacity. I'm charging it at least every three days as compared to about every 10-12 days when it was new.

I've had this phone for 2 years i believe, and its great. I have Fido service in Canada, and Cingular in the USA. You can easily download games, backgrounds, fromt he Ericsson site, which is neat. The phone is built strong, as I dropped it numerous times, and it does not scratch easily either. Thats a plus. It fits easily into a pocket, and doesnt weigh much. I use it as an alarm to wake me up each day too hehehe! Can't go wrong with this phone.

THIS PHONE IS EASY TO USE & FIGURE OUT WITH OUT INSTRUCTIONS. IT WAS A REPLACEMENT PHONE FOR MY SON, SO IT IS DOING THE JOB SINCE THIS IS HIS THIRD PHONE TO GO THREW. THERE IS NOT ALOT OF FUNCTIONS ON THE PHONE BUT THAT WASNT NEEDED ANYWAYS. OVER ALL THE PHONE IS GOOD. EASY USE. VERY SLIM & SMALL AND STAYS CHARGED WELLAND CONNECTION GOOD.

I love this phone because it's so small and easy to carry around or put into purses. It also has great volume and good ringtones, plus internet access. The only con could be its size for some people, if they're used to larger phones, but I think it's pretty easy to get used to it.

My husband and I purchased two of these through Cingular a couple of years ago. Since then, each one has developed different intractable problems.
AUDIO PROBLEMS
After about 8 months of use, the audio in my husband's telephone stopped working. As a result, he couldn't hear conversations without having his head-piece attached. The phone would ring and ring while he continued to run around searching for a head-piece.
BATTERY PROBLEMS
Shortly thereafter, both of our phones developed an inability to re-charge. You would plug the phone into an outlet at night and the charging indicator light would appear; but the phone would still be on empty in the morning.
MISCELLANEOUS PROBLEMS
We both have experience problems with dropped calls (disregard the commercials). Finally, I have had considerable difficulty switching between lines because of the awkward and non-responsive key pad. When another call comes through while I’m already on the phone, any attempt to switch lines will typically result in the loss of both conversations.
However, these phones have served us for two years now. So, for what it’s worth, they can last an eternity [my husband insists on waiting for them to completely die before we get new phones :( ]

I found it very easy to loose.ive had mine less than a year .both key pads are worn off.the charging connect gets dirty easy and wont charge .the adapters to charge are weak and break easy.but all in all not to bad in volume and only one ring tone i could hear well.i hope to find a replacement cheep and soon .i still have 6 months before i can upgrade .hope this is helpfull...

This was an excellent buy. It was affordable in that I didn't have to go through the expense or red tape with Cingular Wireless to get this phone. As soon as I received it I was able to use it as my phone. The phone was in the condition the seller listed. There were no problems getting it to work. The quality is great. The absolute best thing was to go in the store and try this phone out and be able to come on Ebay and purchase it at a bargain price and get exactly what you expected.

Small and slim. Battery charge time is fast. Sound quality seems good. This is the fifth Sony Ericsson phone I've bought over the years. Quality seems comparable to other Sony Ericsson. I bought a used one to keep as a spare because my wife is really bad about breaking cell phones. Just popped in an existing AT&T sim card and was ready to go.

A cheap price to keep your old ATT contract.

if you want to keep your ATT contact an excellent replacement which will take your old sim card & is reasonably priced. It has much better reception than the old similar phone which it replaced. It does the job without all the extras which I never used. My old ATT contract is simply to good to let go, buying a replacement phone is a cheap price to pay for a $39.00 national plan with more time than I need.

I bought Sony Ericsson T237 (AT&T) but the battery life is very poor. Battery eats up the charge in 2/3 hrs even if I don't use the phone. I have to go and purchase another phone or battery. This phone is useless.

Don't waste your money!I needed a replacement phone for a few weeks until renewal time for my contract. This phone is hard to manipulate from feature to feature and the sound is horrible. It sounds like you are yelling at yourself, and everyone is yelling back at you , but it is muffled, so you miss the conversation. It will not let you set multiple alarms, which my old phone did. Many features I am used to are not available on this phone. I like the size of it, but the phone as a whole is a piece of junk. I would not waste money on it.

I love the fact you hardly ever drop calls on this phone.This is a very easy phone to operate.The only bad thing is the buttons are small and its not a flip phone.I have had mine for about a year and half.I have never had any problems out of it.the reception is awesome and very clear.this would make a great phone for a beginer...:)
