Sony Ericsson K750i (Unlocked)

In the Sony Ericsson tradition of great phones, the K750i follows the succesful K700 and the T610/616 (still well sought after on Ebay).
It is a candy bar style, not heavy but not light either with a large and clear screen.
I have had the K750 for about 3 months now. Took with me overseas and snapped away with its 2.0MP camera - great pictures. Added a 1GB memory stick duo, filled it my my best MP3 songs and voila.
Oh yea, the headset that comes with it, is OK, but for the best sound EVER, get the HPM-70 headset (about $20) it is the best ever, and can be used on any regular CD or MP3 player with standard 3.5 jack.
Prices on the K750 seem to be easing a bit, but for about $300, it is still worth every penny for a really good and capable phone/camera/MP3.
Note: for all of you who have old Sony Ericsson accessories (power, headset, et...), that fit T610s, K700 and P900s, the bad news is that they're not compatible with K750 (nor the W800, W900...)

Sony Ericsson K750i - Unlocked Sony K750i Walkman Phone

In my opinion - Sony Ericsson makes the best cell phones. The Sony Ericsson interface is superb and the phones rarely every have CPU issues. Of the recent Sony Ericsson line - by far and away my favorite phone is the Sony Ericsson K750i - which is the second generation of the wildly popular K700i phone. Its far more expensive than the K700i, but the K750i has a revamped interface, a 2Megapixel camera, a sony memory card slot and teh Sony Walkman technology. Really - the only difference between the K750i and the w800 / w800i is the body color and the price (the W800 is more expensive). I give the Sony K750i a 5/5 rating and suggest looking on eBay for it (over $150 cheaper than in the stores) and making sure to query a "New Unlocked Sony K750i ". Enjoy!!

PROS:
-Batery life unbeatable (talk time battery life of 9 hours and a standby time battery life of 400 hours).
-It weights only 99gr.
-It has a brilliant 2.0 mega pixel, auto focus camera that gives you clear and crispy photos (also comes with a light for taking pictures in a dark place), a video recorder to capture all moments).
-It has a MP3 player , FM radio and sound recorder.
-The phone is also great for memory between 38MB internal and 64MB external memory stick and this can be expanded up to 2 GB.
-The phone comes with a USB cable, which means you can connect your phone to your computer within and put your pictures on the computer and transfer music, videos, wallpapers, screensavers, games and ringtones to your phone.
-It also has WAP browser, both bluetooth and infra-red, alarm, calculator, stopwatch, timer and calendar which are all handy to have.

CONS:
-This phone is triband only, GSM 900 GSM 1900 GSM 1800, therefore in the US you're left only with the 1900 band. This is a big problem specially inside buildings where the 850 band works best.
-Not as user friendly as most Nokia phones.
-It only works with PC. To Mac owners the USB function is useless.
-When taking a pix: you have to press the picture button key, then it has to focus, then the picture is actually taken.
-The buttons are so small so if you are a big guy this is not a phone for you.
-The 2 side buttons doesn't always respond straight away, taking a couple of pushes to get it to work.
-After one year of use, the joystick is a bit unresponsive.

Overall for all inlcuded on this phone you won't need an Ipod, digital camera, gameboy, watch or a cellphone. Because the k750i has it all.

I have had this phone for about 5 months now and it is the best cell phone I have ever owned. The LCD screen has 262,000 colors which provides a crisp and vivid display. The fact that it is small also grabbed my attention when I was first interested in buying it. I would recommend it to anyone who likes small bar phones.

Main Likes:

2 Megapixel camera that takes excellent photos (taken with MXE-60 flash)

Small size and weight is ideal for pockets and purses

Clear and understandable fonts

"Light" feature has helped me numerous times in the dark

Memory Stick Duo card slot for expanding memory

Joystick is very easy to use, but may be a hassle for someone with bigger hands

Very feature packed making it useful at work or school.

Main Dislikes:

Camera shutter sound can only be turned off when in silent mode

Talking in noisy situations might be a setback if you don't have a headset

SIM card isn't exactly easy to take out

Plastic around keypad does provide some creaking at times although it is very durable.

Photo editor zooms in about 100x so you are practically editting a pixel.

Note: With firmware updates there was n increase in volume and some camera features enhanced. Be sure to do this with the Sony Ericsson Update Service.

Well, a feature packed phone it is. Working with cingular it is not. Something to do with Cingular using an 850mhz band everywhere has caused my phone to not work. So I have to get phones with 850mhz. SO if it says unlocked, that doesn't mean it'll work just fine with any service provider.

overall its performance is amazing, it allows you to do things more than a cell phone, such as games, MP3, videos, 2.0mega-pixelcamera!!!!!!!

I currently use this phone everyday and i can say that it is excellent. the camara is nice, the size and weight is nice also. it is feature packed and is a keeper for me.

I loved this phone and it is truly the only phone that I have been sad to part with (there have been a lot). I prefer this phone to my razr, treo, slvr, and Nokia 6620. All these were good phones but the they did not beat the slick K750i.
The K750i comes with radio, 2.0 megapixel camera, memory expansion card (up to 2gb), it has tons of space for mp3s, great games and graphics all into one small package that looks really cool. The only thing that was wrong with this phone is the frequencies. It happens to not pick up a band frequency that is in DFW where I live and so I consistently was missing calls. I know this is not the case all over the U.S. so the important thing is to find out online if this phone will work in your area and then purchase this amazing phone.

I think Sony Ericsson makes the best cell phones.
I just got my K750i a few months ago, and this phone kills.
I have 100+ MP3s, 80+ themes, 150+ wallpapers, 60+ Java games in my phone, having K750i is like having a PSP + iPod Nano combined together.

K750i is one little extraordinary device that does everything for you. Once you get used to SE, you'll never ever switch to another phone. Astonishing vibrant screen resolution is what appeals me from purchasing this phone. 2.0 megapixels camera result is comparable to digital camera. Battery life is also amazing, beats all my past phones.

I have had 3 of these phones. My first unit was water damaged. My second unit was purchased by an ebayer and my current unit is on sale now. The phone is very good over all, holds signal and always takes sweet pics. I sell them because they indeed have an awesome resale value. Overall this is one of the best candy bar phones.

What I like about this phone is mostly its features. It's got an 2.0 MP camera which makes it a 2-in-1 all around phone camera. Also, I was considering the W810i which it's basically the same but this one has more internal memory than the W810i. It also plays music and you can even expand its memory with a memory stick duo for music, even games as well. I highly recommend this phone. I you can afford it, buy it. It's one of the best and most reliable cell phones out there.

The fone is fun. You can do alot with the phone i still gotta figure stuff out about it but so far its a really cool fone. I'm gladd i bought it.

Overall, I'd recommend the phone if you're on a budget.

I bought the phone bec. it has all the features i like. I saw that the phone has some minor scratches on it as the picture show, but when i received it I really frustrated because its not just a minor scratches as what's it say but also dints on it. It really frustrate me. I tried to buy the housing but it made worst, it took me how many hours to get it and end up braking the housing. So, everyone who buy a used phone, please make sure that you really take a good look at the picture because not eveything they says is true. I bought it for no use. But the phone really has all the good features and its a good phone. Other than my picture onthis pphone I would recommend buyer to buy this phone.

I bought this phone in december 2005. Since then I have upgraded to a 2Gb memory card and bought a conector so that I can use standard head phones. The battery life, camera, radio, mp3 player, email connectivity and general look and feel are all 5/5 there are also a ton of other handy features. This phone is like a little digital buddy I called mine r2-d2 because I'm origanal like that, but then george lucas built a time machine and used that name in a bunch of movies in the 70s... it was a real bummer.

I've played with my friend's K750 (he left his cell phone at my house for two days), and I was totally stunned !!!

It has an awesome 2.0 camera, music player, and stylish body.
I will recommand this phone to everyone, and I am planning to get one myself.

i bought this phone 1 month ago.its really fantastic!everything is on:mp3,2mp camera,steady software,super screen,nice acoustic,pim function,flash,bluetooth!also the battery is strong for2.5days.what else are you waiting for!?consider that in the box you will find extra card memory and handsfree and all this in very low price230 eu when 1.5 years ago was 400!!!!!!this is really bargain.and finally believe me there is no big deference between k750i and k800!!!!!!! lord1000_5

I loved this phone. it was excellent. i would still have it but it didn't work where i live due to the gsm type it was. the radio worked great the mp3 player was awesome. overall one of my favorite phones i have ever owned.

This particular phone its a great machine overall.

Its small, has MP3 player, perfect 2.0 mpx Camera, MS DUO slot. Add to this accesories like the ones I got in this auction a Add-on extra flash, a RCA converter to take your MP3 just about everywhere and a 2gb memory card and you have a phone everyone would love.

Only negative point its that the screen gets easily scratched, so a screen protector will come in handy.

I just got this phone 2 weeks ago comparing it with the new motorola rizr that also has 2mp camera. I got into sony ericsson when one of my coworker showed me his se w810i. His phone infact is really outstanding, because i'm usually use to motorola and nokia after playing with his phone for 2 hours went to ebay and check for several se phones. The reason I've picked this one is that it has the slip on cover for lens just like what they have on Sony Camera T series. The phone has all of the features that you need in everyday life fm radio with rds, recurrent alarm, mp3player, High quality video recording that can end up to 55 minutes of recording/also depent on your memory stick, take quality pictures, and alot more takes about a day or two to master all of it features.I think that sony ericsson went beyond the extra miles in putting all of the features into their phone not only to this model, but to all of their phone. After showing this k750 to all my friends they were all shocked on what it can do. Three of my friends have high end nokia phone (N95, N72,MOTOROLA RIZR)..we did try to have a shoot out on who can take the best and crisps pictures suprisingly with n95 that has 5 megap my k750 did end up having the same cripsness with nokia n95. They were really amazed on my phone, so they end up buying se k750, k550i, and w810i to use their second phone.Add a flash booster so that you can take better picture at night. SONY ERICSSON FOR LIFE and get your money worth it.

I would like to say you that I chose this wonderful cell phone because I love its amazing camera. The other thing is that I have certain preference for Sony products.

SE K750i is pretty good Triband GSM device. It has 900/1800/1900Mhz frequencies.

This phone has won many awards for the Sony Cybershot(c) series cameras. If you're a user of AT&T network and various GSM networks thats heavy on the 850Mhz then you WILL NOT be able to utilize this phone to the max because that band is not supported.

As for connecting to overseas networks that run 900/1800 it's perfect. The camera shows more clarity and higher resolution than other phones with 2.0 Megapixel camera. There is a flash for this thing which is composed of two really bright white LEDs. This light can be used with the camera or just turning it on as a flash light. The easy of using the camera is opening the shutter door on the other side of the phone which puts the phone in camera mode right away. And when the you're done taking pictures just close the shutter and it automatically saves the pictures to the memory or if you have a Sony Memory Stick Duo (or Pro) card you can expand the phone up to 2GB in addition to the 32MB on-board memory.

Only thing I have to gripe about this phone is that it doesn't support EDGE and only supports GPRS so online support is rather sluggish. However this phone is made to be a multimedia and photo taking phone so internet won't be this phone's highest priority. Over all for just having a great phone and taking beautiful pictures it's perfect. Not to mention the phone has a panoramic mode which allows you to take full size 2.0MP pictures that is composed of 3 photos and it gives you a wide-screen (16:9) feeling to whatever you are taking pictures of. I find this mode makes a room look like it's bigger than it really is which is cool :)

Overall in the States, it works perfectly with T-Mobile. As for Cingular/AT&T it works when only in the 1900Mhz grid. If you migrate to 850mhz then you won't have any signal.
