Sony DVP-S530D DVD Player

I bought this player because of the 5.1 ouputs. This is a very versatile player, yet simple enough that my nine year old can use it.

The look good but it doesn't work, I decide to buy it because I need it.The seller had describe it well and said it was in exellent condition.I am a foreigner, I can found out the word to expess my feeling I expect you will anderstand me.

The Sony S530D has more features than any other DVD player I have owned. Especially like the built in headphone amp for listening without disturbing others in the house. Excellent audio, but volume knob is only on the player, not the remote. When playing a CD, like other players of this age, it only reads purchased CDs and not home or computer recorded discs, but then unit was not really purchased to play CDs.
All important functions (menu, enter, motion controls) are also on the unit itself, so you don't really need to use the remote if you are near it.
Size wise it is more like a CD or DVD changer, but with all its features, who cares?
Unit functions perfectly; crisp video (also has 2 full sets of S-video and line outputs)and component video and 5.1 audio outputs and digital audio outs!

Such a nice machine. It won't play "burned" copies of movies or CDs but it has an awesome picture and wonderful features. I got a fantastic deal on this machine because it was gently used - I didn't pay a fraction of what it is worth. It looks (and acts) like a brand new machine. I will buy another Sony DVD player like this one even if I have to buy it brand new. It's the nicest DVD player I've ever owned.
