I'm not a technical guru, but wanted to purchase a new portable DVD player for our kids to use at home and in the car. (Ours broke after about 5 years of use.) After doing some research, I found great ratings for the Sony DVP-FX930. We have been happy with it so far. My 3 & 6-year old can operate this by themselves, which is great. The remote control is a nice feature. We like the swivel screen and one of the reasons I chose this one was that it has 2 headphone jacks. It also has 6-hours of battery life, which is nice. We have only gotten about 4 hours of battery life (because we haven't changed the quality of the screen), which is sufficient. It's really nice & it suits our needs perfectly.

The picture on this 9" LCD screen is amazingly crisp and the sound is very clear. I like the adjustable swivel screen; it makes it easy to adjust to just the right angle for viewing. I decided to buy this the other night when our power went out and I had to sit for 4 hours with nothing to do. One of my friends told me she was able to watch a movie on her portable dvd player. I'll be ready for the next power outage!

Bought it for my Mom. She loves it! High-resolution widescreen display and up to six hours of battery life. Impressive picture clarity and sound. Great for long flights and car rides.

I am very happy with my purchase. I bought it for my grandbaby who is 2 for rides out of town. It is the best and she loves it. I hope to teach her the touch buttons and the remote so that she can fully operate it herself. She already knows how to put her movies in and take them out. She is comfortable with wearing earphones too. The battery holds the charge; the volume is good and the picture is good. Highly recommend this product for others looking to buy a portable DVD. You won't be disappointed. My EBAY purchasing experience was good from beginning to end.

DVD player has some nice features that make it a "no brainer" for vacation. I really like the fact that there are two head phone jacks and a swivel screen, making our flight seem a lot faster. It also came with audio/video cables to connect to the hotel TV. If you can part with your laptop or don't want to lug it around, this is a great option.

I can't say enough about how great all the features on this dvd player are! I love the 180 degree swivel screen, 6 hr battery life, small design, clear picture and countless uses. We have hooked it up to our large flat screen, our projector, used it w/ the car charger for road trips & on a 4.5 hr plane ride. I'm so glad I decided to purchase this model & would very highly recommend it.

The Sony DVP-FX930 is exactly what the reviews state: An excellent portable DVD player. High quality screen resolution. Easy to use. Would be nice if the sound level was higher. Have used it extensively as we are retired and "go" alot. Highly recommend to anyone.

I bought this Sony DVD 9 in. Portable Player because of its Sony Name its durability screen size and long battery life. It is a great buy to use for a Hyper Toddler on a Long road trip. So far no complaints it takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

I bought a Sony DVP-FX930 9" portable DVD player. What I like about this product is the large 9" screen and the six hour battery.

it was more used than i expected and was missing parts but nothing that prevented me from using it. i bought it because it was used in good working condition making the price lower. i love the picture quality 1080 pix! it is way cool! the screen is 9 inches, the biggest they come, (i think). i don't like the buttons below the screen; i prefer them on the side of the dvd like my old one. i bought it because of it makes movie watching convient, it is portable and can be used on long car or airplane trips. the battery can charge up to six hours. most others only charge for two. excellent product overall.

Just what you might expect from Sony. This DVD player is great for kids on those long car rides. The picture is wonderful and the audio from the built-in speakers is amazing. Great product!!!!

I just reviewed my Audiovox portable dvd player and gave it a good review being it was a plain and simple one and exactly what I needed it for. But now after receiving this Sony, wow, what a difference. Superior sound, picture, controls, plus the cool swivel screen which only goes in one direction but I don't care. But this is all what I had expected anyway for what I was looking for. Bottom line - if you want a really nice portable dvd player this may be one for you to keep as an option.

We bought this DVD player for our 3 1/2 yr. old daughter to use during airplane travel, and trips. She is able to use it by herself!! We charge it up, and it plays at least 6 hours, without having to be recharged. Big screen, that rotates, makes viewing for 2, easy. Dual headphone jacks, also makes listening possible for 2. Remote control is easy to use too! We bought a carry case, and it fits right in there, with all the accessories. Our daughter really enjoys it!! It makes travel a lot more pleasant!! We're definitely happy with our purchase!!

We love it! We had bought the Sony 7 in. Portable DVD Player but the screen was accidentely broken. This is a great replacement with more features. It has an enormous battery life.

Took on my last trip to Jamaica. Didn't have a TV with us, but we were able to watch movies and listen to music while we were there. High quality. Excellent picture. Long battery life. Very happy with purchase.

I didn't read the fine print well enough to realize that this was a refurbished player, but so far it seems to work fine. My grandchildren really enjoy the movies when we are unable to get good TV reception as we are far in the country with no cable, dish etc.

I bought this because it was a SONY FX 930. It is rated the #1 portable DVD player. SONY products are almost always the best value for your money and appear to be "problem proof".

I bought the Sony DVP-FX930 few weeks ago and was impressed with the performance. I was really looking for a player that I can use for playing music when doing some DJ, cause carrying my dual cd player is so heavy. Now I just carry my newly purchased cd-dvd player. I'm really glad and happy with my cd-dvd player.

Bought this DVD player to take on a trip. Was able to watch a movie in flight and made the trip so much shorter. The display on the screen is excellent. Was able to share with my daughter and we both enjoyed the movie. Would highly recommend this DVD player to anyone!

My little girl Loves this player. For long car trips, It's the bomb. It's rugged and can stnd the rough treatment of a three year old. I'm not sure that the battery last the six hours that are promised, but it's close. I reconment this product to anyone.

love the screen size, battery life, and the audio speakers are great. the only thing im not a big fan of is the touch pads on the front of the screen, for the volume, menu, etc, but over all a really good buy
