Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P8 3.2 Megapixel

This is my first digital camera, however I've used several, and did research before buying this one. It is a great intermediate camera, it does everything you need. Takes great pictures far away, or up close, does video recordings and sound receiver works great. Has settings for night pictures and for moving objects. Lithium ion battery holds charge well. The memory stick that came with the camera is quite small in space, but most cameras only include it for you to start using the camera, and eventually obtain one with more space on it. Menu style and button indications are really easy to follow, most wouldn't require the use of the manual for simple functions, but if you do use it, it's fairly simple to follow, user friendly.
One thing I've noticed, when recording a video you can't zoom in or out, you have to zoom in/out prior to recording, and please note if zooming in, video will be darker since there is no flash /light. If you want to see some of the pictures taken by this camera, just visit either my current or past auctions. If there is a picture listed in the auction, chances are it was taken by this Sony DSC-P8.

I disliked the fact that in the item discription the seller 121greg states that the battery is included. On recveiving the item there was no batter. On contacting the seller he stated the discription was "the manufacturers discription." However the area with the battery discription can only be filled manually by the seller. Spoke to the seller concerning this, but I notice the seller continues to sell similar items using the same discription. I have been contacted by other sellers (through ebay) concerning similar situations.

What makes bad matters worse, I gave the seller a negative feedback, in return he gave me a negative feedback, even though my payment was prompt, almost instant. Feedback is so important in ebay and now my 100% positive has been spoiled. Similar things have happened to other ebayers concerning this seller.

The DSC-P8 is a great camera for beginning photographers yet appeals to those who demand more from their cameras. The camera, which has a durable metal shell, takes high-quality images, has a strong flash, and stabilizes images fairly well. Also, the camera is able to shoot continuous frames, high and low-resolution videos, and stop-motion. This camera is a great tool for anyone who wants to take excellent pictures without having to carry around a large camera bag or a ton of equiptment.

Cybershot is easily one of the best point-and-shoots on the market.

For a 3.1 Mega Pixel camera it sure takes excellent pictures & has a great battery life.

I bought this camera because my previous camera is also a SONY and worked well, this model is light and has small size, takes pictures of good quality.

Good camera. Had a previous one that was dropped with the lens open. Don't do that. Takes good pictures for a teenager

I like its size, and it is easy to use. Nice pics ok vids. No flaws.
Fine Sony product I would recommend buying one if you are lucky enough to find one.

nicenicenice immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive phone. It has a 1M-pixel camera, video camera, and speakerphone. The NewPhone's size is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the battery has a pretty good lifespan of roughly 4 hours. My only complaint is that the menu system on the phone makes you click four times before you can find someone in the address book, set an alarm, or perform a additional functions. Other phones I've owned have simpler menus and get you to important features easily. Overall, I'd recommend the phone if you're on a budget.

Its a relatively small, cheap rechargeable battery, a lot of options but still simple and user-friendly. The pictures are OK (not great) for a point and shoot, 3.2 megapixels is more than enough what most people use (especially me). For under 40$ I doubt you can get more value for money.

not a bad camera, i just recieved it today (item # 150173509583) has some issues like when i changed the screen brightness the camera shut off and wouldent stay on, then did a master reset and it worked fine again, not sure if this happen to anyone else, has a dent but im not fussing over that, it was cheap and i trust the name, so other then that and some blury photos (most likley my falt) im very pleased with it, takes some time getting used to after i just went to this camera from an olympus c-735 ultra zoom, 5/5 for looks, 4/5 for features and an overial rating of 4/5

The camera was in very bad shape, and the flash dont work. I think the price was not expensive, but the seller in other moment can make a better description of the product.
