Basic camera - very sturdy - takes terrific pics

OK - this camera is a couple years old now, which seems ancient by digital camera standards, but it's still going strong and takes excellent pictures, despite being dropped plenty.
I'm a shutterfly dad and take tons of family photos and this thing is just a great warrior. Shutter delay is respectable for a camera of this class, pictures are great, battery life is good, and the design is terrific. It's also fun to be able to display images on the TV with the video out cable
What you need to get the most out of this camera:
buy an extra battery and a couple 128 mbyte memory sticks - they're both cheap on eBay. Don't bother with the Sony proprietary stuff - Lexar is fine for memory sticks and an aftermarket battery is fine, too.
What's not so great: not much for this price range, but the shutter delay and start-up time can sometimes be a little slow when you're trying to get a pic of your toddler.
Comparing to other models: I had the Canon s-50 and lost it. I preferred the Canon in that it did 4 mp images and the zoom was a bit better, but this is a good bet and should be available on eBay for a deal.
