Sony PEG-TJ27(Pewter silver)

This is a nice PDA to tote around. Couple it with a 1GB Sony Memory Stick and "Documents to Go" software and tote around scads of PDF files. I cut out a small piece of Infrared filter material with a paper punch and used some aluminum foil-type duct tape to secure it over the lens. Now I can use the camera to examine infrared emitters at work. I was hoping it would be sensitive enough to see the IR spot thrown by the emitters, but it just doesn't quite have the sensitivity for that. As a bonus, I discovered it does nice outdoor near IR photography and renders in reasonably pleasant colors in that capacity. The down side is that the resolution of the images is only 640x480. (Note: To make a cheap near IR filter expose some 100ASA 35mm photographic film to the light for a few seconds and have it processed. Use the negatives as IR filter material.)

It has the standard PDA features, like a notepad, calendar planner, e-mail, contacts, and to-do list. The more I use this PDA, the more indespensible I find it to be. It has good battery life, and the lithium ion cell recharges fairly quickly. The handwriting recognition engine works fairly well, and there is an on-screen keyboard option when the recognition engine doesn't cooperate with your writing style. (I find the keyboard a must for punctuation marks and such.) I use the To-Do list for prioritizing work at home, and the Memo pad for making out shopping lists at home and machine notes at work. I've also loaded on a few e-books to peruse with the Mobi-pocket reader software, though I haven't found a lot of free time to enjoy this feature.

My primary reasons for buying this device were portability, ability to store and view PDF files (with the additional purchase of "Documents to Go" software and a memory stick), and the camera for examining IR devices. I purchased it for use as a tool, and it serves most of my purposes very well. --Musclebrain

I've had PDAs for the past 10 yrs. Started out w/ Hanspring Visor, tried Treo (didn't like it, built-in keyboard didn't give option to use grafity writer), Tungsten, then Sony - AWESOME PRODUCT. Even though it carried same Palm OS, the feel and functionality surpassed Tungsten's retractables.
I've had SPLASH and Full Bible software, games, along with many piks, excel and word doc.s w/o using up the whole 32mb.
I sprung for 128mb stick and the possibilities became endless. I like the fact u can see what u r saving and dates in memory stick. As apposed to Tungsten's.

This product shipped fast and works well. Good shape. Sorry it took me so long to send review. I have been sick.

I really am sure I would have loved it if it had arrived I dont quite know what happened mix up at the post office or something I guess either way I didnt ever recieve it :( I have never had something like this happen before so I dont even know if I can get my money back. Think I'll just stick to shopping at the local store for awhile....

size the sony name , had one before and liked it. this was my first sale thru ebay and the seller was very upfront and described the product to a tee. the shipping was ok and i am very pleased with my new pda thank you ebay. ia real nice way to buy something with out leaving home . can't wait to do more ebay business.

Mine is a replacement for the same item, I dropped it and needed a new one, very nice PDA, added a few games and it sure occupies the time sitting in airports or on the plane.
