Sonic, alone. The way it should be.

This review is for all of you loyal sega fans out there. I for one have always loved sega and supported its mascot Sonic the Hedgehog. But something happened to Sonic once he went on to other consoles, they just weren't the same. All of the crazy new characters after Tails & Knuckles and ridiculous games made Sonic games mediocre at best on other consoles. I haven't bought a Sonic game since the Dreamcast days. But, when I heard about Sonic the Secret Rings for the Nintendo Wii I had hopes for this title. I was dissapointed when I looked to ign for a review on this title and found it received a 6.9 out of 10. I did see however that the fan reviews of the game were much better. I decided to buy the game and boy am I glad I did. This is how Sonic games should be without all the wacky characters, you play Sonic and him only. The Wii remote makes the game a new experience and is addicting. The graphics are the best Ive seen on the Wii to date. The only thing I didn't like much was some of the voice acting done in this game, but it does grow on you and you don't notice it after a while. Buy this game if your a Sonic fan you will love it, and if not rent it and see if you like it. I still am dreaming of the day Sega will make a system again so we can see Sonic back on its own system. Until then we have Nintendo Wii's Sonic the Secret Rings!
