Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (Sega Genesis, 1994)

Sonic 3 is almost as good as the others. The best thing about this game is unlike the otheres you can choose who you want to play as Sonic, Tails, or both. Also there is a save game feature which was amazing so you can save after a few levels have been beaten and play it later. You can also pick what level you would like to play after you have beat the levels. I owuld also give this a 10/10. and say its a must for sega owners.

Awesome game!!!!!!!!!!! The levels in this game just look beautiful. You can spin through tons of loops and collect gold rings. There are lot of bosses for you to fight too. Tons of secret passage ways too. If you have the Sonic and Knuckles game you can hook that game up with this one to create a new game. Highly recommended!!!!!!!!

What a great game! I love it. I rememeber playing this as a kid. I recently just beat on the "Sonic Ultimate Genesis Collection". One of the best games on the Sega Genesis. Definently Top 10.

Sonic the Hedgehog is a series that I grew up on. I absolutely loved playing around as that speedy blue hedgehog though all those environments. I already owned the version from Japan, but it wouldn't work it my Genesis (It was more of a collectible really) So I bought the American version so I could play the game without having to used Sonic and Knuckles. The game has undeniable charm and I say that anyone who has a Genesis should buy it.

I love this game and had been looking for it for a very long time. I bought it because after looking in local shops for over 2 years for it, i decided to try ebay.

I loved the price it was the cheapest one I could find. It shipped fast and i had no problem with the game.

I think it's a great game, simple but challenging. I don't know much about the game but I think it's good.

What can I say? It's Sonic the Hedgehog 3 for the SEGA GENESIS... Don't buy it on Wii Ware, forget the emulators, go get yourself an old school SEGA and play this game the way it was meant to be played! ;-)

When Sonic the Hedgehog 3 released in 1993, It was innovative in two noticeable ways; it was if I remember correctly, the only Sega Genesis game to have a save feature, and it had 3D Special Stages. You start off with Sonic and Tails flying to Angel Island where Knuckles the Echidna knocks out Sonic and steals back the chaos Emeralds(previously acquired in Sonic 2.) The game has 6 Zones, each containing 2 Acts. The gameplay was a simple side scroll and jump around, but it was so fun. If you are a Sonic fan, the story of the game is easy to interpret. This is a game that all Genesis owners should have as part of their collection. ;D

Sonic 3 was almost the very best sonic game on the genesis by far. While I would rate this game under sonic 2 due to the fact that sonic 2 was revolutionary and sonic 3 was just and upgrade sonic 3 is definitely the most enjoyable.

This game is very much like the other Sonic titles except for having Tails playable. The levels and music are fantastic. There are also more power-ups to gain such as an electric shield that attracts rings, a bubble that allows you to bounce and breathe in water, and a flame shield that could be used for a special attack. There is also a competitive mode where you race your friend to the end of the stage.

Excellent game. From a simpler time when all you really needed was one button to do everything. Paved the way for more recent sonic games.

This game is fun. It is so very, very fun. It's one-hundred characters worth of fun. Now that's fun.

I bought Sonic the Hedgehog 3 for sega genesis a couple of weeks ago, it came in a timely fashion had normal wear and tear. It works and I have no complaints for this seller I have actually purchased several other items from Lukie games.

Even though this game is over fifteen years old, it still is awesome. I love the save feature, so if you run out of lives, you can return from where you left off. Also, the amount of special layout features is cool. There are zip lines, fans that allow Sonic to fly high, and the special stage. Plus, the music and graphics are far superior to Sonic 2. All in all, if you have a Genesis and are a Sonic fan or like fast paced games, Sonic 3 is a MUST!!!

I am very upset that this was not received and in the process of going through proper channel to receive a refund.

The game is in great condition and looks like it just came out of the box! This is one of the best Sonic the Hedgehog games ever made and I know it has been remade on multiple systems but it feels like nothing unless you pop in a cartridge into your Genesis.

Sonic 3 is the best game out of all 3 of the Sonic games. Tails is in this one also. This one finally has a save feature which makes it possible to beat the game!!! You are also introduced to a new character, Knuckles the Echidna. This game gets a 5 out of 5!!!!



My Rating Scale:

1- This is an absolutely horrible game!!! No one should ever purchase this game no matter how tempting the game box looks.

2- This game is not horrible but needs work and has serious design flaws. Not recommended for purchase.

3- This game is your average game. The graphics aren’t anything to be shocked about and expect a bad storyline and very little replay value. Purchase at your own risk!!!

4- This is an above average game and has good replay value and graphics are above average. It still may have design flaws, but they are small and easily tolerable.

5- This is a very rare game that has beautiful graphics, absolute replay value, and usually was a big budget video game usually made by Nintendo or Sony. Players should buy this game no matter what their genre. A++++

This game is an enhanced version of sonic the hedgehog 2. with a bit better graphics and more levels, more items, and more characters. this one in particular is my favorite because it has a save feature and in sonic games that helps a lot and you do not have to start over every time you play.

A great Sega Genesis title, and one of the most popular in the Sonic Fan community. This series title introduced Knuckles, the Enchidna. The game handles alot like Sonic 2, but with so much more. Old favorites like the Spin Dash and Shields return to the game, but this time, theres a twist. There are 3 different shield types, all of which give Sonic his own additional powers (Like the Bubble Shield allows you to breathe under water, the Lightning Shield magnetically attracts rings and the fire shield allows you to stand in lava and become a living fire ball! Another nice feature of this game, is that if you lock it on to Sonic and Knuckles, can experience the game in it's entirety, as well as play as Knuckles. The sprites themselves have been improved from it's predecessor, and levels are a bit longer as well.

In short, the game is simple to control, straight forward, and represents one of the best titles on the Sega Genesis, as well as in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. Even when Sonic is moving at top speed, the game is not hard to control. The game also introduces a save feature, the first to be seen in a Sonic the Hedgehog game. The boss characters are imaginative and provide a great challenge. The levels steadily increase in difficulty, so the game doesn't get too hard too fast. The downside to this game is, once you've attained all the Chaos Emerald, you become Super Sonic (which can be done as early as the second zone), and the game becomes entirely to easy. Some bosses can kill themselves by running into you and you don't even need to lift a finger.

All in all, I've always been a fan of the Sonic old school series. For it's time, the game is very innovative and fun for all ages!
