This is an excellent CD that brings the music of Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge to the 21st century. The arrangements are professionally done and would be right at home on any adult contemporary or smooth jazz radio station. While the voices of many music legends have weakened over the years, Johnny Maestro's voice is as strong as ever. The band is tight and the harmonies are impeccable. While this is not a holiday CD, it does contain some songs affiliated with the holidays, such as both the Gounod and Schubert versions of "Ave Maria" as well as "Peace on Earth." You won't want to wait until Christmas to pull these out though, they are just too good. Review ID: 10000000006456142 Was this review helpful? The Harmony and vocals are very good, but the songs themselves are depressing. I was expecting something more uplifting as this was considered to be Christmas music. This 2007 CD is a departure for Johnny Maestro and The Brooklyn Bridge. While not a religious album, the songs are truly inspirational. What makes it so different is the jazzy feel to the songs. Johnny Maestro has one of the finest voices in doo wop rock and roll, and makes any song that he sings sound as though it were written just for him. Maestro has been in the music business for over fifty years, and his voice is richer, fuller, and better than ever. ~Review edited on 3/20/08~ This is not a Christmas CD. Johnny Maestro and The Brooklyn Bridge released a Christmas CD "Christmas Is..." in 1989. I found nothing depressing on this CD. Songs like "Let There Be Peace On Earth" "I Believe" "What A Wonderful World" & "Battle Hymn Of The Republic" are uplifting. I love the CD and listen to it often.
