  Hidden Track

Just had to say how surprised I am that no one has mentioned the 16th track on the album by Nick Cave. You need a cd player that is capable of rewinding the time. The hidden track is about 8 minustes long. If you read the insert it gives a hint when it says that Nick Cave wants to remind you that 0 is a number also. When playing track 1 press rewind and rewind for about 8 mins. I have tried it on a dvd player but didn't work, I've only been able to get it to work on my old cd player and I didn't have any luck on my player on the computer as it only lets you back track to previous tracks. The track is Nick Cave's version of the X-files.

Always the X Files fan I saw this and bought it on a whim.
GREAT CD highly recomended.
Includes the long version of the original theme music by Mark Snow.
Soul Coughing, Umarked Helicopters takes to Max Fennig's trailer.
Nick Crave and the bad seed, Red Right Hand makes you want to ride in Dwayne Barry's trunk.
Thanks, Jim

The cd was perfect. I was concerned, because the price was too low. They sent it fast. Surely I'll buy again from them.Highly recommended!

  Star Me Kitten
Review created: 09/25/07

This CD has a few songs that I don't care for but the great songs more than make up for the weaker ones. William S. Burroughs version of Star Me Kitten alone is worth the price. Other highlights are gems from Frank Black and Soul Caughing. 4 Stars.

  Go Foo Fighters!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review created: 08/07/07

Okay, there are two main reasons why I bought this. The first was so I could finally hear the Foo Fighters' version of the song "Down In The Park". Man did that blow me away! I just couldn't believe how amazing that song was! The second reason was to hear "Hands Of Death (Burn, Baby, Burn)", which is a killer duet sung by my idol Rob Zombie and the legendary Alice Cooper. That track totally rocked, but it can also be found on Rob Zombie's "Past, Present and Future" album, and this is the only CD with that song by the Foo Fighters. So the Foo Fighters were the main attraction. I've watched a few X-Files episodes over the course of my life, and it's a pretty cool show, but that's not the reason why I purchased this CD. Being a rock and metal lover living in a world infested with gangsta rap lovers, there wasn't really much on this album for me. The only other tracks that I liked were from a band called the Meat Puppets and the ultra-cool Danzig. Those were awesome, but I expected more. Some of the songs sounded country, and the only other rock songs were too slow. I was especially disappointed with a slow song by Filter titled "Thanks Bro". I love Filter, and this WAS NOT their normal style. For X-Files fans there is the theme music, and a rock/techno version of the theme music by P.M. Dawn, which was kind of cool. But for 15 tracks there just wasn't enough here for someone like me. I have no doubt that this would appeal to many people, but I just couldn't give it a perfect review.

I was very disappointed in this c/d as I thought it would be the same type of music as heard on the X Files.

  Out of this World !!!

When this first came out, I wore out the cassette, then bought a CD. I loaned it out and it never made it back. I had to have another one. It's a great compilation that was pretty much undiscovered by the masses. Some of the best songs you can't get anywhere else.

  Raise your Red Right Hand!
Review created: 10/06/05
by:

I first bought this soundtrack back when it came out in 1996. Since then, I've bought many more copies. Still today, it is the most listened to CD in my collection.

Pros: When you're driving down a deserted road late at night in search of UFO's, nothing else sets the mood better! (Speaking from experience...) Some of the songs are simply spine chilling. Great for any X-Files fan! A must have! Track #6!!

Cons: It's not 1996!

I'll give it a 5/5 rating and raise my Red Right Hand!
