I use this club for chipping around the green, blasting out of a fairway bunker and off the tee on those 210+ par 3s. The longest iron that I carry is a 4 iron and I don't use it much!

I have this Sonartec in the 17* model. These clubs I found hard to find in the local pro shops for some reason? These clubs are very much under rated, this is an outstanding hybrid. Very easy to get the ball up and land soft. I have the UST IROD shaft, which is an outstanding selection for this club,as with most UST shafts the UST iROD in the regular flex....is what I consider STIFF in most,(LOW TORQUE) if your on the bubble, in between regular and stiff, I think you will be very pleased with the regular.

  Best Hybrid

This is by far the best hybrid club on the market. I got rid of my 3 & 4 iron and have never looked back. These are easy to control a fade or draw and you can get the ball in the air easilly. The Sonartec has a great ball flight. I have both the Fuji and Irod shafts and like them both. The Fuji has a higher ball flight and the Irod is great for distance.

I love how easy to hit this club is. I say that as an impartial golfer, even though I happen to be selling one.

  Sonartec MD Hybrid

I bought the 19 and 23 degree MD and like them much better than my Taylor Rescue Dual TP clubs. The Sonartec sets up nice and square, has a big face which inspires confidence, and it feels so solid when I hit the ball. The club was rated easiest to hit in several tests so I had to check it out for myself. I'm a believer!

I purchased a Sonartec MD Hybrid 17 degree club a month ago and am blown away by its' performance. I am now sold on the importance of carrying a hybrid golf club and the Sonartec Model is incredible. Very easy to hit off a tee on tight par 4's and great out of rough or fairway from up to 235 yards out. Shots travel high and land soft. The club is much easier to hit than the 2 iron that I replaced. If you are not carrying a hybrid by now you need to get with the program and put one in your bag. Had tried several other models but found the Sonartec to be the most forgiving one to hit.

  Sonartec MD Hybrid iron/wood

Sonartec MD has revolutionized hybrid wood to fit the swing tempo of most golfers . It is so forgiving it has been know by many to forgive all golfing sins .

Designed to fit golfers of all skill levels.
Ideal for getting out of difficult lies, rough and fairway bunkers.
High launch, low-spin trajectory.
Shorter shaft for greater control.
Anti-left club.
Can take the place of 3, 4, 5 & 7 fairway wood .
Have demoed this club to an independent group of golfers in the driving range and they average with this club up to 225 yards with out a sweat .

With the companys participation in the golfing scene just recently Sonartec has created a nitch for itself in the fairway wood and hybrid categories .

The Sonartec Fairway wood is a great golf club. Even if you miss hit the thing it still goes in the right direction. I bought it because it got great reviews and I liked the way it felt, (I saw one before I bought this one) You can hit it out of the rough just like an iron.

  Sonartec Utility Clubs
Review created: 09/10/07

I'm an avid, scratch golfer - 0 handicap. Sonartec Utility clubs are among the most solid clubs I've EVER hit. I have two in my bag now. Will likely change lofts as I'm still experimenting with filling yardage gaps. Currently have the 15* and 17*. As expected, the yardage difference is slight. I no longer carry a 3-wood (15* substitutes for it). The Sonartec is easier to hit and much straighter. Will likely settle on the 15* and 19* or 21*.

The two clubs have different shafts - the standard IRod shaft and a Fujikura Speeder 757. Both are excellent!!!! IRod has higher trajectory, Speeder lower and more boring. I can't say enough about these clubs.

I had two other Sonartec Hybrid Rescue woods and needed another one to replace
my four iron. They are so easy to hit that I have come to reley on them more and more during each round of golf. My handicap has dropped 3 strokes since I started using the Sonartec clubs. Needless to say I love them.

I have two of these and they are the best hybrids I have ever hit. They are very solid at impact and look very square to me at address. They also have a more penetrating ball flight than other hybrids which you can attest to the iRod graphite shaft (tour quality shaft). You can't go wrong with the Sonartec MD hybrids!!

Why you should carry a Sonartec in your bag
Review created: 04/05/07

Even if your a scratch golfer, hybrid golf clubs are becoming ever increasingly popular even with PGA Tour pros, Tiger Woods excluded (but I've read he practices with one). The Sonartec 19 degree hybrid takes the place of a 2 iron or can play like a 5 wood. Why hit a hybrid? Have you ever hit a 2 iron solid? That's what I thought. Hybrids are made to be easier to hit, more forgiving than a typical long iron, and will go farther and straighter on miss hits. Sonartec is a great company with great design in their golf clubs. Coupled with the right shaft, this particular product will immediately take strokes off of your score from the first time you use it. I would suggest to all levels of golfers regardless of handicaps to look into the products that this company has to offer. You can't go wrong with a Sonartec hybrid.

  Great clubs.

What can I say Sonartec did it again. I have a Sonartec 3 and 5 wood and the 21 degree Md Hybrid. I absolutely love every one of these clubs. I have seen complaints about how you cannot get the ball very high in the air on these but I don't have a problem doing it when I try. I guess you just need to know how to swing a club. The ball flight is boring. If you really want to put the wood to the ball these clubs will do it and man does the ball take off.

I highly recommend the Md hybrid and the ss2.5 series fairway woods. Great clubs.
They are not always the most forgiving though.

Bottom line with all clubs is simple though. If you get something that is more forgiving you may sacrifice touch and feel or even power. There is no club outh there that can golf for you. If you have bad mechanics i would suggest a more forgiving club. If your a better golfer then I would definitely recommend
that gives you the most control while utilizing more power also.

Sonartec Md is forgiving. Sonartec fairway woods are not the most forgiving and would only recommend those for the mid to low handicappers.

I have hit almost every maker of hybrids today. In my opinion, this is the best hybrid on the market today. Long, straight, and easy to hit from any lie.

I already owned a 19 degree Sonartec, so this purchase was a no-brainer for me. I'm a 4 handicap and have always hit my long irons pretty good, but these hybrids are unbelievable. My 6 iron is now the longest iron in my bag and I'm scoring better than ever. I wouldn't have believed it before trying these.

  Sonartec MD 19*
Review created: 12/07/06

1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

I have played these for 2 years and like them alot. Lately, I have changed my irons and needed to use different lofts and shafts in the MDs. Over the two years I have owned the 15, 19, 21, 23 and 25 degree lofts. The clubs are all excellent with respect to quality. They are easy to hit straight or hit with a slight draw. The tutorial on the Sonartec site is quite useful with regard to technique in using these MDs. Sonartec is probably the top company in the golf industry for customer service. They are truly exceptional in providing parts and information on their products.

Only tricky thing for me is determining carry distance to attain a comfortable gap ( 15-20 yds) between clubs. Everyone is a bit different with regard to spin and trajectory. I'm currently using a 15,19 and 25 MD, substituting a Sonartec 3.5 for the 15 on certain courses.

I have a Taylor Made Rescue club and a Ben Hogan Hybrid club that I thought were the best. Then I hit a friends Sonartec MD club and fell in love with it. You cant believe how solid it feels when you hit it. It has a larger face area and a large sweet spot. I went out on ebay the day after hitting my friends and bought 2 MD's, the 15* and the 17*. I am totally sold on these clubs and you will be too if you try them.

  Sonartec MD Utility Club
Review created: 10/03/06

Have had trouble hitting fairway woods consistently. Hurt my back and my handicap has gone from a 6.2 to 8. Initially bought the Sonartec MD 5 wood, then the 9, and most recently the 15 degree 3 wood. Can't believe how consistently well I'm hitting them - particularly the 3 -wood. Long, mostly straight with limited fading, and with alot of release & roll. They are also very good out of the rough. Since putting them in my bag I have been shooting in the mid to high 70's again and getting to some long par 4's and short par 5's in two. I'm sold.

  Sonartec Md 4i Hybrid
Review created: 08/09/09

Tried the club on my home course, just like others say about the club. Solid, easy to hit and a low trajectory. Shaft is the Irod engineered specially by Sonartec. I hit the club from different kind of lies, low & hi rough, hardpans and fairway, the MD performed just like I hoped it will. You swing easy and the ball carries a lot with a lower trajectory than other hybrids I played with. Great club

Great feel, really solid hit, great sound, and nice clean look. I hit it at Golfsmith and bought it on the spot because I hit it accurately and averaged about 255-260 with it.

  Awesome Versitile Club
Review created: 03/10/09

The head is solid, the shaft is high torque (cannot over power it) I use X-stiff 17 degree and can easily work it left/right/center between 215-245 yards. Excellent from fairway sand traps on par 5's... The solid head is the key and high shaft torque makes it workable.
