Get "Something To Be Proud Of!" and forget this one.

I'm on Yahoo Music listening to the new Montgomery Gentry album. I've always thought they were pretty good and I love their last release, the greatest hits album "Something To Be Proud Of." I'd say it's just about flawless: a great new single to lead it off, all the hits in order, and a (hilarious) Christmas song. But I'm more than half way through the new album "Some People Change," and it's really bad! There's a cliche' gospel chorus on the title track, Eddie's voice strains on the big ballad "Clouds," and T-Roy sounds silly talking through "Twenty Years Ago." "Redder Than That" is similarly embarrassing. "What Do You Think About That" has a catchy chorus at least, but I can tell you "Some People Change" won't be on my Christmas list. Skip this effort (which is not "something to be proud of"!) and I guess wait for Greatest Hits Vol. 2. Of course they may never get to Vol. 2 if they keep releasing records like this one!
