
Great workout if you're willing to make the effort

I like Christi Taylor as an instructor, but am personally a little challenged by her workouts. I'm better at simple, athletic moves. This workout, like Christi's other workouts, are at the advanced level as far as choreography. Her workout level can easily be mastered by the intermediate stepper, however, if you're willing to take the time to learn the steps. I was only able to go through six minutes at a time, rewinding the DVD over and over until I could master a small section.
Once you learn the routine, it's a great workout in more ways than one. Christi keeps you so busy and focused that the time flies (you're done before you know it!). She also gives you a fun workout that allows you to reach your target heart rate for the recommended amount of time.
If you like (and can handle) Cathe Freidrich's step workouts, you'll love Christi Taylor's workouts. If you're a Kathy Smith step fan (like me), you'll probably find Christi's workouts too dancey.
