Soldier of Fortune: Payback (Xbox 360, 2007)

I got this game Brand new for 13 bucks, and I was expecting the worst from all the reviews and comments from this game. I mainly got it cause I wanted some overly gory and violent game for those sort of days when you just was to blow crap up! To start of with This game, it has a pathetic story line, not to mention a REALLY short story, I beat it in around 3-4 hours on the easiest settings. This game was actually just what I wanted. I went right in picked the weapons I wanted and went into war blowing legs and heads all over the place with more blood then you can ever imagine! The controls are a little awkward at first a lot of the settings are actually like COD 4 except for the crouch button which is down on the button pad. I'd say for 13 bucks get it, you'll get a good amount of enjoyment out of, but remember don't expect to be amazed about about an incredible story and insane voice acting and all that, because there ain't any! It's just a average blow the living crap out of everything thing until there's just a stump and a whole lot of blood. =D GET IT! I liked it!

This game was 100% better online. Dont get frustrated with the game until you play it online. ......................................................................

Decent game. The graphics were pretty cool and the weapon selection was heavy. Missions were entertaining.

Pro's: I liked that the game didnt have a HUD, telling you where the enemy were. Online version is the best part of the game.

Con's: Aiming in on targets was a little too easy and I didnt like how the enemy appeared. You could be scanning a particular part of a trail (no visible s at first but as soon as you crossed an imaginary line a bad guy would spawn in). It was pretty privative.

but the selling point is the way you can target the enemys limbs shot out there legs blast there ARM OFF who doesnt love that but it still is the same old same old besides the gore

This is a fun game that includes alot of killing, blood, gore senseless violence. You know this game is for you if u like standing in th middle of the street with a pump shottie and taken out insurgents as you walk in circles and fire. Heads splash off, you cut peoples throats. I Bought this game for $28 with $4 shipping. For $28 it is worth every penny. If you are going to pay in the $40-60 for this game, i suggest you buy Call of Duty 4. But if you find it cheap go for it. Like i said if you like just a game that has barely any meaning to play, a game that has no hidden walls or ANY TACTIC AT ALL this game is for you. I have waited for a game like this for years. I love to just snipe someone's head off or Ak-47 their arm off without it being like splinter cell or any other game that involves strategy. I would recommend this game for around $0-38!!! I give this game an A

This game is a lot of fun. You can dismember almost all body parts which is a lot of fun and the online is always fun. The game is rough around the edges but you easily can get adjusted to it within twenty minutes. There are many customizable weapons which is fun to play around with. This game is overall a 8 out of 10 my opinion its a lot of fun and you really need to give it a chance do not listen to the critics try to get this game at a low price not worth twenty bucks at gamestop my opinion.

not a rainbow six kinda game but is ok and fun with good blood and body parts.
i say if you just want to kill. kill, kill, its a ok game.
i can say it sucked me in for a min or two....

It is very challenging, do not forget, I am all thumbs, so i have to do certain missions over and over again. Till i get it rite. But its great,. Some people would say . well i finished it in ten minutes, well good for you. ME i am just learning so its fun.

Have a sip of rum and blast on. I would recommend it to anyone, I know there are games out there with more fancy graphics, or shoot em up stuff , but hey where can you get a game for 10 dollars and spend a week or 2 haven a good time.

This game is decent. Nothing more, maybe less. Its not the greatest game control-wise and graphics-wise but it can be entertaining customizing guns and the gore.

My son, deployed in Iraq enjoys this war game but said he loves the Mass Effect game I also purchased

I used to play SOF double helix every night on xbox when xbox live first started and it was great. I was bummed when I saw my xbox 360 wouldn't play my old SOF disc, but then I found this NEW SOF game for 360!

Short and simple....its bad. Graphics are not of 360 caliber, same with the sound (character voice and music). The game dynamics are very poor. Everything about this game is a flop, I'm glad I only spent $20 on it. I didn't even get past the first level before I put call of duty back in!

Save your money and don't buy this game! :) Joe-

This a nice game if you like to shoot, putting the bad guys to rest is top notch, however gun selection and ammo is very limited, so on this point this game comes up short, graphics nice speed of the action good, sound good, the final level was my least favorite part, and levels are way to short. Replay I would say yes, I've played easy, normal, and hard it feels the same, this game is a lot of fun, would I buy it again yes.

the game itself is really fun to play but the ai is kinda lacking as well as the story. but if you are going to get this game its not going to be because of the good story line, its most likely because of the gore. its way funny. its a good and bad game all in one. i recommend it if your a bored college student like myself.
